All About Angels

April 2010

  • Correction

A little while ago, I learned we’d made a terrible mistake in the March/April issue of ANGELS ON EARTH. At the end of a touching and wonderful piece by Jo Donofrio of Westlake, Ohio, we ran the name of another contributor.

  • (Angels on) Earth Day

We’re celebrating Earth Day in my house by using as many recyclables as possible to produce less trash, at least in these 24 hours.

No plastic sandwich bags in those school lunches today, cloth instead of paper napkins (classy, right?), and we all agreed to drink tap instead of bottled water.

  • Christmas in April

I’d gotten used to celebrating Christmas in July, since that’s the month we start putting together stories for our November/December issue of ANGELS ON EARTH and our December issue of GUIDEPOSTS.

  • Esther Bunny

My seven-year-old Evie loves stuffed animals. So every Easter, besides the chocolate bunny the Easter Bunny leaves in her basket, Evie gets a stuffed bunny too.

This year we went to Build-A-Bear in the mall to pick one out together. You probably know you can build (that is, stuff) almost any kind of animal you want at that place—bears are just the beginning.
