  • A Gift to My Daughter: My Favorite Angel Quotes

Tomorrow my daughter Louisiana turns 13. A teenager! I can hardly believe it! I want to pass along to her 13 of my favorite angel quotes. Happy birthday, sweetie pie.

    1. “We are nearest the angels when we love.”—Joan Walsh Anglund

    2. “Every blade of grass has an angel bending over it saying, ‘Grow, grow.’”—The Talmud

    3. “True friendship is a knot the angels have tied.”—Anonymous

  • September 15, 2010: May Angels Surround Me Today

Today’s kind of a funny day for me—it’s my wedding anniversary but I’m divorced. So I’ll celebrate quietly (and happily) with my friends who read my angel blog.

I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding day, outdoors, with sweeping views of the Hudson River, 20 years ago. It was an all-day affair, from brunch to dinner, and someone always seemed to be handing me a glass of champagne!

  • A Working Mom's Earth Angels

Today is only the second day of school and already I’ve messed up.

A small army of college-age babysitters share after-school duty, and we are still trying to nail down a schedule for the new semester. Today not one babysitter but two showed up at the elementary school to pick up my third-grader, Evie. My fault entirely, but I suppose it is better than arranging for no babysitter to show!

  • Three Angel Sites You'll Also Love

Every once in a while I noodle around on the internet looking for angels. It occurred to me that if the editor in chief of an angel magazine can’t get enough of true angels stories, you probably can’t either.

So check out these links. You’ll find stories of heavenly angels, everyday earth angels, little angels and the guardian angels who protect them. Make some popcorn first—you’ll be sitting in front of your computer for a good long time!
