My Enemy, My Brother

Even in war, humanity has its role and in this story, an astounding outcome.

Isolated soldier.

With Memorial Day nearly here, when we remember those who have fallen in battle, a colleague came across an amazing and inspiring video and insisted I watch it. I am glad I did, and I believe you should watch it too.

It is the story of two soldiers—not Americans—who survive war but die a little bit in the process. They come from countries that at one time or another have either been our friends or our enemies. Yet what rises from their powerful experience is the universality of humanity and of what war does to men, to women, to countries and to our souls.

Keep an open mind and an open heart. Christ commanded us to love our enemies. At the end of their story, I loved these two men.
