Alarm Clock Angel
Something funny—no, not the right word—amazing, I guess, happened to me this morning. My alarm clock didn’t wake me up. My guardian angel did.
It’s rare that I forget to set my alarm clock because I’m quite a sleeper. Especially in the morning. Weekends I can sleep in till 9 or even 10. I don’t feel lazy because I get up weekday mornings at the crack of dawn. If I set my alarm, that is.
Last night I didn’t. But at 6:30 this morning I was awakened anyway: “Colleen!” It was a voice almost completely unfamiliar. The tenor was authoritative but not reprimanding. Demanding but not threatening. Loud but not scary. I can’t say if it was a male or female voice. Odd, isn’t it?
I say the voice was almost completely unfamiliar because I have heard it once before. Under the same exact conditions. When I would have overslept because I forgot to set my alarm.
The parking angel seems to elude me, but I believe we get the angels we really need. For me it’s an alarm clock angel. What kind of angel do you need?

This is VERY awakening. I reset my IPhone to repair some settings. I woke about 10 pm and thought, "I forgot to re-install my alarms". It was Saturday, tomorrow was worship, so I said, "no biggie I'll get up". I awoke at 7:AM as usual to my alarm. I thought it just didn't reset. When I looked at the alarm settings, there were NO alarms. As GOD is my witness, I was astonished. I can guarantee you I did NOT miss church and will be diligent at going from now on!
This is normal -- our bodies get used to waking up at a certain time; sort of an internal alarm clock. I think it happens to everyone who is used to an alarm at a certain time most mornings, and can certainly happen as part of a dream. :)
I had an angel who woke me up every single morning at exactly the same time. She stayed with me until Junior High. She'd call my name and I'd respond "huh?" every morning, and I'd pop out of bed and be in a good mood all day. I miss her:(
This has happened to me several times! I did an internet search to see if anyone else experienced the same thing. Sometimes it was three knocks. Another time, it sounded like my daughter saying "Mom." Last week, in the middle of an active dream, it sounded like my son saying, "Mom." I wonder if they imitate your children to get your attention!
