An Angelic Birthday
We threw the birthday party to end all birthday parties last weekend. My daughter Louisiana turned 14 and invited a gang of her girlfriends to our house to celebrate.
Oh, to be a teenage girl! They put on makeup like they were twentysomethings, took pictures of one another like they were models, and then played on the backyard swing set like they were still in elementary school.
Louisiana had spent all morning baking layers of cake in all different shapes and sizes. The girls teamed up, built, assembled and decorated three-tier cakes in serious Cake Boss-style. I stuck candles on their iced masterpieces, and we sang “Happy Birthday” again and again, with our renditions becoming less traditional and more “original” with each round.
I believe angels will help make sure all Louisiana’s wishes come true. I also believe girls rule.

Seriously?
Do you have to keep having the word "angels" in all of your posts and have your picture so prominent on the Angel Section? Why not post something that won't display your face twenty times, like maybe a picture of those angel wings or something else.
And why keep posting various articles, just to tack the word "angels" in.
It seems to me this should be a section about experiences with angels and not just wanting to self-promote on an open Angel Atmosphere. Please!
Linda,
I find it interesting that you responded so rudely and grumpily to an Angels blog. Not very angelic! You are entitled to your opinion, but if you are so disappointed, move on and look elsewhere. If you feel it important to point out your observations to Colleen, send her a private email--and I would still suggest being more civil.
I come to Guideposts for positive energy. Through her story, Colleen shared her energy of celebration, love, and love of life with us. You responded with a personal attack on Colleen, and it felt like a slap in the face to me, too.
Why do you come to Guideposts, Linda? I hope you'll join me in appreciating the positive focus it offers in an all-too-easy-to-be-negative world.
Respectfully,
Michelle
Thank you Michelle. I also took the above comment as rude. I subscribe to Guideposts for the inspiration to start/end my day. I look forward to the 'angels' because I do know that each of us have our own to guard us and guide us. I have had and seen so many 'angel' experiences to know that it is very real. An angel saved my oldest grandsons life 13years ago when I was driving and he choked on a pretzel in his car seat...not going to tell the story at this time....I have been involved in observing people who are about to die and seen the most beautiful things happen.....for someone like the above comments to make ill comments about the writings of someone else is judging and we all know only one is allowed to judge....Linda I pray for you!
