All About Angels

Room for Angels

Another day of me not cleaning up my office.

All week I’ve told myself, Today is the day! When someone calls and asks what I’m working on, I say, “I’m about to clean my office.” And then I hang up and I don’t.

I’m interviewing people for our editorial assistant position, and I have to keep apologizing for the mess as I clear away manuscripts and books so we can sit down and talk. This is not me! I’m neat, I’m organized, I like when everything is in its place. I like to show off the angels readers have sent in over the years.

So … tomorrow is the day! Of course, as Mark Twain said, "Never put off until tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow." So … either tomorrow or the next day is the day! (For real.)

Colleen Hughes is the editor-in-chief of Angels on Earth. She's been at Guideposts for 20 plus years, and lives in a Hudson River town with her two daughters and two cats.

I get a gift-subscription to your magazine every year from a friend. when I go to your website [mentioned frqently in the magazine!] and put in my account number, then my own name, the website kicks me out. Why is that and what can I do about it? (It's a legitimate subscription; promise!)

Thanks for being a loyal reader (and thanks, too, to your generous friend). If you call our toll-free customer service line at (800) 431-2344, they should hopefully be able to assist you.
