There are some days when the kids do nothing but fight, make messes, and tell me they're bored.
Sometimes, instead of endless interventions, it's better to just take the kids out of the house for a change in scenery.
One day, when my two youngest kids were bored and getting into mischief, I loaded them up and headed to McDonald's to meet a friend for lunch. They needed a little change in routine and I needed to talk to another adult. It was a fun afternoon for all.
