Help! I Need a Title!

Wow. Judging from the posts on our Facebook page it sounds like a lot of you are going to be pretty busy this long Fourth of July weekend. Fireworks and hot dogs appear to be a priority, as well as church, since the Fourth falls on a Sunday. And spending time with family is a given.

I’ll be in the city, working mostly. Don’t feel sorry for me because it is a very exciting project I’ve mentioned before—the book I’m writing for Guideposts. The deadline is growing nigh and it’s time to wrap things up for a spring 2011 release. And while the final chapter is nearly complete (note to my editor: you can breathe now), I don’t actually have a title for the book.

Maybe some of you out there have some ideas for the title. The subject of the book is the nine steps to powerful personal change. I tell my own personal story—which I’ve never actually shared with the Guideposts audience before—and the stories of other people who have undergone transformations both big and small. Stories that changed my life and I hope will change yours.

So what would YOU call a book like that? Post below. My mind is completely open. Meanwhile I will try to make a little time for fireworks.

Edward Grinnan is Editor-in-Chief and Vice President of Guideposts Publications. Edward lives in New York City with two blondes—his wife, Julee, and Golden Retriever, Millie, who has been featured in his blog and popular videos. Edward loves cycling, hiking with Millie at his house in the Berkshire Hills and Wolverines that hail from Michigan.
