We’ve had a lot of people traveling to the Holy Land recently.
Edward just got back. He took some great pictures and had some good stories. Later this week our colleague Peola Hicks, the manager of OurPrayer at Guideposts, is heading to Israel. “Would you take any requests with you to put in the Wailing Wall?” I asked her.
“Glad to,” she replied.
The Wailing Wall, or the Western Wall, is one of the holiest sites in Jerusalem. The base of it dates back to the time of Herod the Great, when he was rebuilding the temple, around 19 B.C. This remnant of the ancient wall that surrounded the temple courtyard has long been a pilgrimage site. Often people write their prayers on slips of paper and put them in the cracks between the well-worn stones.
We get thousands of prayer requests every week and have hundreds of volunteers around the U.S. and across the globe praying. Peola makes sure every request gets prayed for. I must stress that this is a free service. (I find it shocking that some online prayer sites charge people for the honor ... but don’t get me started.)
Of course, it’s easy to post a prayer here on our site, but if you have a special request you’d like Peola to take to Jerusalem, I invite you to post it in the comment field below. Fill in your name or leave the prayer anonymous. She promises to take them with her. Thursday is the deadline.
The title of the first article that appeared in Guideposts magazine 66 years ago was “I Believe in Prayer.” We still do.
Update: The cutoff for prayer requests has been extended until 2:00 p.m. ET today, Friday, November 5. If we don’t receive your prayer request in time for Peola’s trip to the Holy Land, please be assured our prayer team will still include you in its prayers. Godspeed.

Dear Heavenly Father, in the name of our Savior Jesus, I thank You for saving us through the shed blood of Jesus on the cross and healing us through the stripes on our Saviors back. Thank You Father for loving us, healing us and forgiving us. I thank You with all my heart for all your blessings and miracles in my life and the lives of my loved ones. You know each need, Father, before we ask, and I pray Father God for each need to be met for healing, financial blessings, blessings in their workplaces, safe travel and for all those who reach out to You in faith believing, our prayers are heard and answered. Heavenly father I pray that you will let your justice prevail and that you will help us Palestinians regain our land from the Israeli occupiers, and that you will lead Israel to admit their historical injustice towards the native Palestinians.
Dear Lord, I forgive the Israelis for this huge historical mistake, but I also seek your face in correcting this mistake and also I pray for the palestinians that they seek peace and release their resentments against Israel and that both peaceful Israelis and Palestinians will unite against violence from any side. At the end God, your will be done and help us to accept that.

Heavenly Father - my heart goes out to all the hurting people who are believing and seeking your help in their situations. My wish for them is that their prayers be answer. We love you and we know that your are the answer to our situation. Your words says let not your heart be troubled, that you will always be with us while we are going through our troubles, that troubles make us strong and leads us to greater faith and trust in you. Helps us to remain strong on our journey and faint not, for we already have the victory in you. Yes, we are all hurting, including me but we must be reminded that your are our God and nothing is to hard for you. You are love, hope and you supply EVERYTHING that we need. We can depend on you. Please pray for all who are affected by ALS and their families. We need effective treatments, equipment resources for patients,financial assistance, etc. I also ask for blessings for all of their dedicated caregivers and that those in need of caregiving find loving, knowledgable and competent caregivers. Please pray for my MIL, who is going through her third bout with ovarian cancer. It has moved to her brain. We ask for remission of the cancer and the return of her strength. Also please pray for the salvation of her son.
My son is only 16 and already showing signs of addiction and depression. Please pray for his healing and conversion of heart.....for new friends with positive influences to come into his life....that he finds something positive in life to be passionate about that will energize and motivate him to do well and make positive choices...that he once again displays the smile that lights up a room.
Prayers for the whole CHRISTian body worldwide. Of course you GOD know each individual heart, the torment that many believers is going through is heavy. Your children in the US and other "free nations" being forced into tolerance and the children being taught that evil is ok. That praying to multiple gods is the norm and your name being used as a profanity. Our body in the east constantly being tortured and killed, jailed, losing jobs. LORD JESUS our SAVIOR risen from the dead, prophecies fulfilled, I know that these are the developments toward your coming return. The blood stained crowns are growing in number in front of your feet. How long will you let this continue. Please GOD of HEAVEN FATHER of the CHRIST, GOD of our forefathers, do not forget us. Prayer for our children, grandchildren and great grandchildren for health and guidance in their lives. Some are serving God, but others are not.
Prayer for our own health and a special prayer for my husband. He had cancer surgery earlier this year and still has not fully regained his strength.
Also, we need a financial miracle.

Please pray for my father-in-law who has dementia and will not acknowledge that he has it. Please pray for my mother-in-law who is recovering from her second round of breast cancer and that she remains cancer free. Please pray for my nephew who has a drug problem and it is tearing my family apart. Please pray for my husband, to continue to have strength, who has the majority of the responsibility of taking care of my father-in-law. Please pray for us obtain financial stability in our business and our personal lives. Lastly, please pray for Tara, my Clumber Spaniel who on Tuesday became severley anemic, but has been improving everyday. I also want to thank God my Father in Heaven. Heavenly Father I petition my children before you each of them accepted you, but like many fell ashtray I hope that they can hear Your Voice calling them back to the cross.
Father you know me and my life and I need a miraculous divine touch so I will be healed from type 2 diabetes. I will no longer have the issues of having sores on my feet that seem to stay open. The enemy knows what You put in my heart and I want to petition a healing and for You to protect my mind, my body so he cant sneak in and attack me.
Father you put in me the dream to write a book, and You blessed me with a laptop now to begin the talent you put in my heart.
I ask Father that You please bless these hands that will type and my mind that has to stay focussed. The enemy has stopped me for a long time and I ask Father You protect me from anything or anyone that will be in the way of my going to the next levels. I know it is my time and I declare it!
I also declare I will finally be loosed from being dependent on others. I will be able to sell my book worldwide, and I will be able to not only reap financial security where I can buy a car, and a home, but Also bring people to You Father, and through my life of transparency others will have the confidence to accept You as their Personal Savior.
I bring Forth a petition that You will open my husbands eyes. That he will stop cursing our family. I know he does not know what the power of his tongue holds but I rebuke all negativity and hurtful words that his words no longer have life unless its the fruits of the Spirit. I ask Lord that he will see we have to give in order for You to bless our finances without planting our seeds in a ministry we will be stagnent and I rebuke this! I ask Father that he will start telling the whole truth about himself. That he will stop cussing, and watching porn that has a huge hold over him. I ask Father that You open his eyes to how much I love him, but I cant stay in a relationship that will hinder my relationship with You because You are first!
Father I ask that You be with my mother Lord protect her, and please Father remove everyone who does not love or care for her. Please Father my step dad needs to pay for all he does to her. I cant keep hearing he is treating her bad. You know her mind is like a child and I would ask You make a way that when I buy my home in 2012 that she can come and live with me.
Father Please help me start spreading the news to get our brothers and sisters help by clean water, food, medical supplies, and building homes and schools and hospitals and Churches. Please be with sister Louise in India and bless her ministry and help me be a vessel to also help her in all she is doing there.
I ask that you please make it possible Lord I declare that I will have a car so I can travel my daughters, mother and nieces to Atlanta next October so we can be changed and transformed from the WTAL 2012 conference.
Father please be with Aunt Jean and my little granddaughter Layla please stop the generational curses that has plagued and stop the dysfunctionality.
Lastly Father I thank You for answering my prayers andI believe That All will be done in Your time and when I asked. I love You Father I cant wait to bring others to You

We have to move within the year. We have a large family and a house to fit us all will cost more than we can afford. What we can afford is either too small or in dire need of repairs that we can't do. Please, Father, put us where You want us when You want us there. Help us be at peace about this.
I also pray for healing for my husband. He has been suffering with chronic pain for a year now, and we are no closer to a diagnosis than when we started.
Prayers for all our families, that God continue to guide us.

When you go to Wailing Walls,I would request you to pray for my sister Moushumi Das and her daughter Aakansha who are in great trouble with no financial support. Please pray so that Moushumi gets a good job very soon and can look after herself and her daughter.
My parents are suffering a lot as they need to buy water everyday. The boring well is not working properly.I would request you to pray to solve their water problem.

First off, thank you Guideposts for taking our prayers to the wailing wall! Dear Lord: Thank you so much for the blessings you've given me. Please guide my husband out of the fog of depression and whisper (or shout, if need be) an activity that will keep him busy and feeling useful. Please take care of my family along with the various furry members of the family. Finally, please watch over me and guide me through the difficulties I am now encountering so that we may come out the other end more financially secure. Thank you!!
Dear Lord, as of this day please help my husband to live a life worthy of you, Lord. Reveal yourself to him and help him to find salvation. Then bring him back to me and our children to heal my marriage and family. Dear Lord Jesus, I really need your help, I kept praying for so long, but you failed and I kept waiting and more delays of your help. Please pray for a young man, Jon, who has just been diagnosed with brain cancer, metastasized from his lungs. This young man, not yet 30 and has a 2-year old son and another on the way. Not much hope has been given to the family, but treatment will be started soon. His wife, Gina, is my Goddaughter.

Please bring my husband Jonathan back to me and restore our marriage. In the meantime, please do not allow him to have any relationship with any other women.
