Cute Attack!
When it comes to food, I think cats believe two things: 1) That you have forgotten to feed them today; 2) That you will most certainly forget to feed them again tomorrow.
My Catillac, for example, doesn't seem to care that I have fed her every day since she came to live with us. She's positive TODAY will be the day I'll forget, and she starts to worry the second the bottom of the dish becomes visible. That's when her "omigosh Mom my dish is almost empty" routine of agitated meowing begins, and I have to go and refill the kibble before she self-destructs.
That's why I LOL-ed when I saw this video. This cat is much more subtle in his approach, but the look on his face just says it all: "Mom? Did you forget? That my dish is empty? Huh? Mom? Mom?"
How do YOUR kitties tell you it's time to chow down? Please comment!

I've got to say that I don't know if it took Mimi almost 8 years to tell me she wants to eat, or if it took me that long to understand that's what she wants. But I finally understand her when she squeaks in a certain way that she wants to eat. That and as soon as I start for the kitchen she's dashed in front of me and is at the ready!
