What fabulous prize awaits you? Well, this is Mysterious Ways, so to find out, you'll need to read this story sent to us by Natalie Heretz, of Utica, New York
“Tonight, I was lonely. My house was empty, and my heart felt the same. I need a good story to read, I thought. Something true and inspiring. Something to remind me of God’s love.
“Laying on the couch, I remembered a stack of books I had picked up at a used book sale last week. Maybe there was something there. I got up and pulled a book at random from the pile. It had a royal blue jacket with a golden circle of light surrounding a farm scene. I don’t remember buying this, I thought.
“I flipped it open and began reading. I couldn’t put it down. Not one, not two, but well over 100 true, inspiring stories. It was as if an invisible hand had gently placed it in mine. The 1988 edition of His Mysterious Ways.”
This week’s lucky commenter will soon share Natalie’s joy. He or she will get the brand new 2010 edition of His Mysterious Ways. A hardcover collection with more than 365 pages filled with evidence of God’s love.

Next week, we’ll offer another great giveaway. What is it? There’s a hint in the previous paragraph.
So start commenting! Share a Mysterious Ways story of your own, or one you heard from a friend. Tell us how much you enjoyed a story, or how you just can’t believe it. What’s your favorite? We’re looking forward to reading your comments.

Wonderful Wonderful stories. My favorite part of the magazine! I love how things always work out. I have been looking for coincidences lately and they are coming "thick and fast". Really cool to remind you that God is with you every single second. Latest one I had: Yesterday, I had a big decision to make and was worried about it.I asked the Lord for guidance and maybe some small sign to reassure myself. I picked up the latest Guidepost and flipped to a random story. While I was reading it, it mentioned that the writer had moved with her husband to a small town outside of Asheville. I live about 15 minutes away from where they had moved! My brother lives about 5 minutes away! This gave me chills! It reaffirmed that God is with me all the time and not to worry about making decisions. I am not making them alone!
Guidepost and His Mysterious Ways in particular are a lifeline for me. Unfortunately, when I receive a new issue I can't put it down until I have read the whole thing and then I have to wait for the next issue to arrive. To have an entire book of Mysterious Ways at my fingertips would be so nice to get me through those "empty" times of the day/week/month. Thank you for all that you and your magazine do for us.
I had a similar experience with "An Introduction to a Course in Miracles."
Mysterious Ways always gives me peace and joy even in the hard times. Thank You for writing it. Sue Farrell
I just started reading Guideposts and really love the mysterious ways section, it's the first thing I read. I know God works in mysterious ways thirteen years ago our daughter was murdered and taken from us. I had a long talk with Mia while she was still on the breathing machine about heaven, and told her if she made it to Heaven okay to bring a squirrel my way. Mia believed in Jesus but she was young and hadn't been baptized and I was worried about that, that's why I asked her to send a squirrel my way. After we left the hospital my sister-n-law told us she had gotten us a room at the lodge she works at. We stayed there until Mia's funeral, and on that day as I was about to get in the truck I felt something touch my foot, as I looked down I was delighted to see a squirrel had stopped at my feet, I didn't move a muscle, the squirrel sat there for at least thirty seconds before it headed off. I knew then my little girl was safe and in the arms of Jesus.
I go on the Internet to search for and collect old issues of Guideposts "His Mysterious Ways" and when I find myself feeling down and defeated I read them; they are better than any tonic. A few stories later I am refreshed and ready to move on. None of the stories grow old for me.
Each month when I receive my Guideposts, I search for "His Mysterious Ways". The stories are all wonderful in the magazines, but these in particular reflect the intimiate way that the Lord interacts with us in very tangible ways.
I'd love to win God's mysterious ways. The stories are my favorite read in the Guideposts magazine.
I read God's Mysterious Ways as I unwind for the day. I've been reading Guideposts for about 40 years. It helps me keep a fresh connection with all the miracles God does around us each day. I can never get enough...& it increases my faith that the impossible is, indeed, very possible!
Thanks for the great giveaway offer!
Some years ago my husband and I had just moved to town, had a 2-year old and a new baby. We were barely able to pay our mortgage, let alone keep food in the house. I got a notice that our mortgage was going up the next month, and we had to scrape up about $95 extra to meet that monthly increase. I prayed long and hard about that and a few days later, my husband came home from work announcing that he had an unexpected evaluation and he was getting a raise! The monthly amount was exactly the amount of our increased mortgage payment, plus the exact amount of the postage to mail in the payment! Now THAT is a God thing, for sure!
Right now many are having real difficulties with finances. I encourage you to pray, pray and pray some more. Our God provides!
Yes prayer works wonders. Rather than letting negative thoughts control the seemingly impossible situation decisivly change the negative pattern to a positive one. As many times as you want to throw up your hands in despair repeat aloud: 'God will provide; He is my source and my supply.' And He will come through for you. Also be grateful for this opportunity to be in this situation; it is only because you are in this situation that you will ask and your Heavenly Father will pamper you by lavishing you with more than your need. Don't limit your God. Isaiah 54:2-3. Claim abundance.

It was only very recently that i had downloaded the e-book His mysterious ways.I really loved it,i felt really close to god.Thank you for the time and effort you spend to collect such beautiful and wonderful accounts.
I have never read this book, but it sounds very inspiring.
I would love to have the chance to read this book, thanks
I have been reading Guideposts since I was a little girl. Even as a girl of ten years old, His Mysterious Ways was always my favorite section. I love to see the miracles God is still performing all around us. He has never left or forsaken us and He never will.
My Mom got me interested in Guidepost around 1980. I've been reading it ever since. His Mysterious Ways is my most favorite part of the magazine. I read in online also. It's just amazing how many ways God uses people, animals and whatever, to do "his thing". When I finish my magazine, I usually take my name off the front cover and leave it where ever I am sitting, or I donate it, hoping it brings as much inspiration to the next person as it does me. I was getting Angels On Earth, but had to stop that until my finances will allow me to pick it up again.
Thanks for publishing such a great magazine.
I love reading about God's active participation in our lives. He's not "somewhere out there". He is with us every step of our journey.
I really love the Mysterious Ways stories, and I look forward to reading them in my Guideposts magazine or receiving them as an email. Imagine a whole book full of them :) That would be wonderful!
It is a great comfort to know that God is always there for us through life's difficulties and greatest moments. I have seen God's mysterious ways in my life after surviving being rear ended by a semi....God is good.
I would love to have this book. I'm sure it would have a lot of good things I could share on my blogs.
I love Mysterious Ways. After my mother died, my friend's answering machine started calling me. My mother had my number programmed so all she had to do was push one button to call me. My friend had my number programmed so all he had to do was push one button to call me. So while he was at work, my phone would ring and it was his answering machine telling me it was sorry but John was away and could not take my message. I called John and told him his answering machine just called me. Of course he didn't believe me but I was able to prove it to him. This went on for 3 months until I finally realized it had to be my mother calling to say hello. I thanked her and it finally stopped. I had no doubt it was mother calling me from beyond.
Blessings, Jean Maurie
Mysterious Ways is the first thing I read in my Guideposts when it arrives every month. I'm always amazed when I read those stories. There are no coincidences.
Mysterious Ways is the first page I read every month when I receive Guideposts. I think maybe it's because we are all searching for tangible evidence that God is ALWAYS looking out for us. I can personally relate to Natalie's story since my husband works nights, and I am alone so many nights, wondering "what to do". I also have good reading material, much of it from Guideposts, and this story inspires me to start reading more.
There are no coincidences, are there? I love reading these stories!
this prize would help me I am sure because I live alone. I am so lonely and scared I cry every day. I try to read my Bible every day but I'm really having a hard time.
You may live alone, but you are never really alone...God is always available to you. Try your best to get outside, see some gift of nature and know that it is there just for you to enjoy. If you can, volunteer your services to an organization that really needs you. God will bless this effort and bring you new joy. I'll pray for you to have joy and courage to get through this darkness.
Mysterious Ways is my favorite part of the magazine, because it gives us such hope and proof that we are not alone and that God DOES send His helpers to watch over us and protect us if we ask Him.
I agree we do have Angels around us to guide and comfort us. I have had many proofs of this over the yrs. I also have living Angels here on earth that come to my aid and are there in my time of need and in happy occasions in my life. I am 75yrs old. I call on my Angel allmost daily to guide me in my decisions and travels. They are always present to me they help find lost items. They also help in my planing trips that I had drawn up itanerary only for it to be totally changed for a better way to proceed in a much better way. Thank you Lord for giving me these loving guides to help me walk in your path. God bless
