A Mysterious Ways Coincidence

Each week, our editorial staff is tasked with finding a new story to feature in our Mysterious Ways newsletter. We choose these stories far in advance. Oftentimes, we try to find a story that fits with the season. This week, it seems we chose a story that fit even more perfectly.

Holli Bridges of Henderson, Texas, sent us her story via email back in May. One of our editors, Nikki Lorimer, chose her story for the upcoming newsletter she was putting together. You can read Holli's story here. It's about the surprising way she was comforted after her mother passed away.

When Nikki called and told Holli that her story had been selected, Holli was thrilled. She was even more moved when Nikki told her the date the story would be sent out in our newsletterAugust 24th.

"Nikki," she said, "Do you know what day that is?"

"No," Nikki replied. "What is it?"

"That's the day my mother passed away," Holli said.

We didn't know this; we certainly didn't plan it that way. We've got an email inbox full of stories, and a mailbox stuffed with stories, too; any one of those could have been chosen for this week's newsletter. But somehow, Holli's came to our attention, at just the right time, to be published on a date to honor her mother.

So keep sending your true Mysterious Ways stories to mw@guideposts.org. They may have even a greater impact than you know.

And if you haven't already, download your free Mysterious Ways ebook and sign up for our Mysterious Ways Newsletter. Every week, you'll get a new Mysterious Ways story in your inbox.
