Sitting on a stool among the deep rows of books in the library, a woman was sound asleep. She sagged against the shelf, lines of exhaustion and worry drawn in her face. Suddenly, a thought surfaced abruptly: Pray for her.
Having no idea of her needs, I simply envisioned her bathed in the light of Christ. I imagined it surrounding her on all sides, giving her new energy, life, joy, hope, insight—whatever she needed.
Around the corner, I saw a man studying a page in a book. Pray for him. I lifted him into the light of Christ too. Next were a young mother, the librarian, a man at the card catalog....
