Several years ago I went through a difficult period. My husband was retiring from the Navy after twenty-two years, and we were in a time of transition. The future seemed uncertain, and Larry and I both were experiencing anxiety.
At the same time, my aunt came from Indianapolis to visit my grandmother here in Richlands, North Carolina. With her she brought a gift for me from my cousin, whom I very seldom see or hear from. There was no way Cheryl could have known that I was going through a tough time, but when I opened the package I found a small angel with a wooden head and felt wings. Attached was a little poem that read:

When I called to thank Cheryl for her kindness, I asked how she could have known I needed such a gift. She told me that God had prompted her to send it.
Now the little angel hangs above my work station as a daily reminder that I, too, can be a messenger of God’s love, but only if I’m willing to open my heart and let Him lead me.
Lord, help me tune my listening ear to You, that I might be of service to others.

Seeing the crocheted angels and reading the story brought back memories. I was an Avon dealer for several years. One of my customers crocheted angels, snowflakes and bells for my Christmas present one year. The angels were exactly like the one in the story. I really enjoy reading my "Angels" books. Hi Libbie! Thanks for this inspiring story...I love the poem & am copying & keeping it in my file. We all need to learn to cope sometimes in our lives.,as we encounter heartaches , sorrows & pain, w/c are parts of life.
We just need to trust in God that He will guide us. So He sent us angels to guide us along the way. May God bless you & more power to you.

So I will pray for you.
Just reading all these prayer requests, I realize how many parents are going thru so much with their children. Many times when my children, 23 and 25, are giving me grief, I feel as though I'm alone in the world but then realize how many parents are going thru it, too.
Each one of these kids needs to come to the realization that they need to make some changes in their lives -- not so that we will be happy, but that they will find peace and contentment -- hopefully thru Jesus Christ -- and then we, too, can be happy and relieved.
In the meantime, we as parents, need to not only pray for these children, but for each other -- whether we know each other or not.
I was wondering if there are groups where parents get together just to commiserate so that they don't feel as though they are alone or that their situation is unique. I sure could use that but I don't know where to look. If anyone knows, send me your suggestions at pinkcaddy7@yahoo.com .
On the other hand, I don't know if I would know HOW to start a group -- I've never done anything like that -- but I think there is a real need. Anyone know where I would start and how to keep it simple?

Go to a good strong Bible believing church and the Minister and the congregation will pray for you and your family too. Get on your knees, humble yourself, pray the Lord's Prayer and then include your request. Always ask in Jesus's name and thank God in advance for answering your request.

My ex-sonin law, James, is trying to take my grandson, Aidan out of the country to Brazil, where he lives with his new wife for most of the time.
My daughter, Lisa will neve give consent for this. Please keep my grandson safe with his mother in Colorado.

Praying hard for my daughter who is in desperate need of a job and that she has patience..also for my son and his wife who are in the throws of a divorce to keep my grandchildren safe and away from all the anger. I love both my son and daughter in law and am very sad for them. Please pray with me.

I have a family situation that needs prayer. My daughter-in-law has abandoned her four children and is living with another man. I am praying that she will awaken and realize what she is doing to her children. I pray for God to stir her heart and bring her to her senses. But most of all I pray that my son will invoke in his children God's love for them know matter what.
Praying for both my daughters and grand daughters, that God will grant them happy lives and peace. May my oldest daughter stop drinking a be a better mother and may my younger daughter get healthy.

praying for my son and daughter -in-law and their boys going through financial problems and worrying about school clothes for their five boys ,both are x marines and its been a hard transition,I pray that God will give them patience and guidance and will provice for them so they can provide for the boys.
Praying for my daughter for guidance on finding the transportation that God will lead her to. And for her to have more patience with her children and others especially when she thinks things are going bad in her life. In Jesus name. Amen
