God Is Patient

Sometimes you may feel as if your prayers are not answered. Rest-assured God is working mightily on your behalf.

By Norman Vincent Peale

Human beings can be very impatient. (You may have noticed this!) We want things right away. We believe our time is our own, and, when we have to wait we become frustrated. God, however, is patient. He knows all about our lives and what we need. The Bible assures us: “Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be” (Psalm 139:16).

God’s timetable is different from ours. Often we pray for solutions, for strength, for calm, for change —only to find our troubles persisting past what we thought was our breaking point. The temptation is great to conclude that God has forgotten me. Not true! God loves you and wants what is best for you. “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness” (Jeremiah 31:3).

Rest assured that God is working mightily on your behalf. However, He is working toward the right solution, not necessarily the solution you want right now. This can be difficult to accept. But whenever you’re feeling discouraged, remind yourself of God’s great truth: Hard experiences will pass away. Not on our timetable. On God’s timetable—the best timetable.

I need prayers for the Fulfillment of my dreams and to break free of the fear of failure that is holding me back. I pray every day for God's guidance. I feel totally alone! Has God left me? Does he know the desires of my heart? And I want to move away from the horrible place that I'm currently living in to my ideal home in Santa Barbara, Calif. I need a Miracle! If it were not for my dreams I would probably not even be typing this right now. I think about ending my my all the time but something won't let me. I pray in the name of Jesus that all my dreams are manifesting in form right now! God bless you and all who are praying on this web-site. May they all receive untold blessings from infinite Spirit! Thank You.

Joy is in God and in you with God in you. Always Hope in God for his best might fulfill you more and be better than your dreams. God is always with you. I pray God's best for you and bless and comfort your heart in Jesus name.

i feel so depressed after a short illness

I have discovered that God's timing is ALWAYS perfect.

At times in my life, God's timetable seemed agonizingly slow.
I now realize He was testing me. Once, God's timetable was in
minutes of my prayer...I praise and thank God for my blessings

Even when I thank God for my blessings each day there are times when I wish He'd work faster...until I remember that the best things in life are worth waiting for. So as I wait I learn patience another gift from God.

To all my dear sisters in Christ, we all are going thru trials and tribulations but our God promise he will never leave us nor forsake us that a promise we can trust. I will keep you all in my prayer and God will come thru at his appointed time for each one of your needs. let us look at our God and not our problems because great is his faithfulness morning by morning new mercy we see all that we every need his hands will provide.....HE IS FAITHFUL!

I already have a subscrition for Guideposts and have problems with reading....even the large print is difficult for me to read. I will continue to work on this problem and trust that I can improve. Betty Gogolin

I got your message and thank you for the words of encouragement. I will continue to seek wisdom and understanding of how God would be pleased by my attempts to get back on track. I still have healthy Faith and Love for Jesus and God. I will continue to try harder. Thank you.

My vision is so deteriorated by the Brain Tumour that I can't read very well.....well enough to accomplish by reading. I ask for help for my vision problem as I try to do the best I can but fall short of reading effectively and understanding. Thank you. Betty Gogolin. I'll keep trying and would appreciate help for my vision problem. The Doctor just keeps saying a new glasses prescription will not help. Am I missing the point?

Hello Betty. We are sorry to hear of your troubles and hope that you will also visit OurPrayer.org, where caring volunteers will pray for your concerns and struggles.

My husband & I need to sell our home & the economy being what it is right now & real estate not moving seems to be stressful. No one has even looked at it. I am praying that the Lord finds just the right future homeowners to purchase our home. We are in our 70's so we need to sell soon.

I will be prayer for you. I have prayed about several things things that are yet to come through.Sometimes I get anxious but then I have come to the place where I accept that my timing is not God's timing. this gives me a peace which nothing else could. Thank you for such a reminder

This is oh so true, my fiance' is still waiting to come home, he needs airfare money to come back to the states, and I don't have it for him, we prayed and asked and prayed and asked and I have to accept that God will bring him home when he is ready to bring him home not when I want him home or right now because he has been overseas now for over 2 years...please join us in praying that a solution to our financial problem for the $3000.00 airfare will be solved in Gods' time....Thank you and God Bless all of you.

I will include and your husband in my prayers. I am feeling the same way since my husband and I lives separately. But due to lack in cash we can't still apply for our visa. I understand what you are going through but I know in gods perfect time our hardships will soon to past.

God loves us and god bless you!

I will keep you in my prayers. Keep positive and trust all will go well. He'll be home before you know it, trust in God's mercy.
