A Prayer Service of Guideposts

Answered Prayers

It has been said there are three answers to our prayers: “yes,” “no” or “wait a while.”  However, underlying each and every answer is the silent promise, “I am here.”  Experience the power of God's love and feel the comfort of God’s presence in these true stories of answered prayer.

Thank You Lord for helping me get thru a problem at work that turned out not to be my issue at all, but another co-worker. Thank You for looking over me and keeping my job secure.

Thank You Heavenly Father for blessing, healing and saving my Mother, Brother, family, friends, neighbors and me, continue to bless, guide and protect us. Forgive us of our sins. Thank You for giving me a good new job. Touch and heal my friends, n, t and j, all of whom are seriously ill. Bless those on our prayer list, homeless, unemployeed, uninsured, suffering loss, facing danger, disaster and bad weather, our public servants and service men. We ask in the name of Jesus, not our will, but Yours be done. Amen gcm

I have worked at my present job for almost 10 yrs. and for all those years I have never felt confident and secure. We are required to have yearly re-certifications requiring several tests to keep our jobs. You'd think that after 9 plus years I wouldn't be worried but I am filled with tremendous fear and doubt. I usually read my Guideposts emails in hopes of finding encouragement and inspiration, I found them today. As I read a story listed under His Mysterious Ways, I found two things that are greatly missing in my life. They were the two things the young woman who shared her story entitled Something's Fishy. She had come out of abusive marital relationship and wondered if she would ever feel confident and secure. Wow! Those were lacking in my life and now I know why. I had witnessed spousal abuse growing up and even though it's been decades since that happened, I'm still suffering from the trauma. I had asked God if there was something He wanted to say to me earlier this morning and waited for a response but didn't get one, at least not until I read my Guideposts emails. I wasn't expecting this response but He knew where the deepest wounds in my heart were and dealt with them through someone else's trauma. I still need prayer for healing in this area but now I know to pray for these wounds that began so long ago to be healed. Thank you and bless you

I want to give praise and glory to the Good Lord for all of His many blessings. We just had a prayer answered this week. We have finally been able to resolve a financial problem with the sale and close of the business. I know without a doubt that the Good Lord directed this resolution. He is a Good God and He loves us soooo much! We are giving Him All the Praise and Glory. He has walked with us, held our hands, and carried us on many days when we didn't know what to do----but He was in Charge and our lives are living proof that He was with us all the time. To God Be The Glory!!!!!!

I asked for prayers last week during my final exam in one of my tough nursing courses. The test was really hard but I pass it with God and all of you who prayed for me. God is awesome and prayers are so powerful. I felt so calm and at ease taking the test and when I was not sure of the answer, I would ask God to answer it for me. I just placed all my trust in him and he made me passed it. My school's passing grade is 80% average or else you fail. Before the test, I prayed to God to send me his angels and the holy spirit to be with me. I can't thank all of you enough in helping me with this second career that I am taking. I love to take care of the sick people in the hospitals and spread the word of God to them. Every week, after my clinicals I get praises and appreciation from patients who I took care expressing their gratitude because I was sent by God to be their angel. They said my presence was like God telling them they will be fine. Everyday before I go to school to do my clinicals, I offer every patient to God to comfort them and their loved ones. Again thank you for praying for me.
