Answered Prayers

It has been said there are three answers to our prayers: “yes,” “no” or “wait a while.”  However, underlying each and every answer is the silent promise, “I am here.”  Experience the power of God's love and feel the comfort of God’s presence in these true stories of answered prayer.

I recently posted a prayer request that my husband's hearing for social security disability would go well and he would get a favorable verdict. Not only did the hearing go well, but he received a favorable verdict only ten days after his hearing. (This from a judge his lawyer warned us often is slow in issuing his verdicts in these cases.) We are so grateful for this answered prayer; we will now be able to get some medical care that my husband desperately needs and we could not afford.

I have always believed that prayer is a very powerful thing, for lack of a better word. I have asked for your prayers on numerous occasions and have felt that they have been extremely helpful. My son was trying to get custoday of his daughter (he did)and I prayed for him to have strength to get through it all. Recently we needed help with finding a very important lost item and it was found. Thank you for praying for someone you don't know. My prayers are with all of you. Thank you.

Thank You Heavenly Father for blessing, healing and saving my Mother, Brother, family, friends, neighbors and me, continue to bless, guide and protect us. Forgive us of our sins. Thank You for giving me a good new job. Touch and heal my friends, n, t and j, all of whom are seriously ill. Bless those on our prayer list, homeless, unemployeed, uninsured, suffering loss, facing danger, disaster and bad weather, our public servants and service men. We ask in the name of Jesus, not our will, but Yours be done. Amen gcm

I am a senior in college about to graduate and have been very worried and stressed over finding a job. I prayed every night for several weeks for God to open the door for me to find the right job. I recieved word of a day care that is hiring and went by and spoke with them, thinking that there is no way they could hire me even part time due to my difficult class schedule, it turns out that my schedule fit perfectly in and i start next week. The best part is I will be able to start working full time the week i graduate from college and stay throughout the summer. Its not what i want to do forever, but i know God opened that up to me for a reason. Also when i quit my current job my boss was so understanding & supportive (which i prayed for too!) So God is good and he does answer prayers!

I was being overwhelmed with debts, so many people calling me for money that I could not afford to give, I submitted a prayer request to obtain more work hours, and my prayer has been answered. I even specified to obtain work hours that would be convenient for my school schedule, and it was answered. I have been working for a month now. I believe that all my other submitted requests will soon be answered too.
