Answered Prayers

It has been said there are three answers to our prayers: “yes,” “no” or “wait a while.”  However, underlying each and every answer is the silent promise, “I am here.”  Experience the power of God's love and feel the comfort of God’s presence in these true stories of answered prayer.

Back in Sept., 2006, I had submitted a prayer hoping my son-in-law, Hugh, would quit abusing my daughter, Lara. He was a recovered alcoholic but he had a drug problem, a horrible temper, and could never hang on to a job. He was beating my daughter, never got any groceries, and would never take her anywhere other than to his parents' home. Today - he has full time employment, has stopped all drugs and treats her so well. It's as if our Lord, Jesus, took him by the shoulders and shook him till he finally grew up and became an adult. I thank you all for the beautiful prayer you sent me which definitely worked and I especially thank our dear Lord Jesus.

Thank You Heavenly Father for blessing, healing and saving my Mother, Brother, family, friends, neighbors and me, continue to bless, guide and protect us. Forgive us of our sins. Thank You for giving me a good new job. Touch and heal my friends, n, t and j, all of whom are seriously ill. Bless those on our prayer list, homeless, unemployeed, uninsured, suffering loss, facing danger, disaster and bad weather, our public servants and service men. We ask in the name of Jesus, not our will, but Yours be done. Amen gcm

I prayed that my son, Matthew, 14, who has been depressed, would be willing to see a Psychiatrist last Friday 3/9. He did go and see the Psychiatrist, and did open up and talk to the Dr.

I was having a difficult time, trying to schedule my home-care patients. Situations kept changing at a ridiculous pace and I was getting frustrated, not knowing how I could meet my patients' time needs for tomorrow. I prayed for God's help and about 20 mins later I realized a few changes would make it work. When I called to ask a patient to radically change her appointment time, actually making it more to her advantage, she was hesitant and finally her husband insisted it just wouldn't work. I respected their wishes, but when i hung up, I said, "Jesus, I don't know what to do now, please help me". As I started pondering my schedule book again, in two minutes my phone rang. The patient who was reluctant to change, and whose husband insisted she couldn't change her time, was calling back to say, well yes I guess that would work! Hallelujah! With the major change completed, the next two patients were easier to work into the new schedule. Thank You, Heavenly Father, for caring about your children, even in our everyday problems. In Jesus' name, I glorify You and pray for your kingdom to come.
