Answered Prayers

It has been said there are three answers to our prayers: “yes,” “no” or “wait a while.”  However, underlying each and every answer is the silent promise, “I am here.”  Experience the power of God's love and feel the comfort of God’s presence in these true stories of answered prayer.

Thanks to God and thanks for everyone's prayers for my foot surgery that I had in June 2011. The operation was a success! My goal was to have pain that I could at least manage...well I am now totally pain free! I can even wear four inch stilletos. I have a new lease on life and feel like a kid again. One wonderful volunteer prayed that the surgeon's hands would become God's hands, and I think that is exactly what happened, because I think the surgery even surpassed my fabulous surgeon's expectations! Praise be to God who saw me through such a painful year, a very blessed recovery, and is still by my side right now. God bless everyone! In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Earlier today, New Year's Eve, I submitted a prayer on behalf of my dear friend Mark -. He is is an skilled nursing facility being overly medicated. I am a thousand miles away and unable to help in any other way but prayer. At 2:54 pm today he was able to call me. He recognized my voice. He could not speak very well. But this deliberate action is such a postive thing. He needs to get his voice back first so he can participate in the decisions of his life, some of which will affect my life as well. Praise to the Living God who moves the sun and all its stars. I choose to take this seemingly small sign as one of great hope. We need much help. We need much encouragement.

Please praise and thank God with us for how we were guided many years ago to buy an annunity because last night nearing this year's end I worked on our budget needs for 2012. And the quarterly annunity payout we'll be receiving will make the difference between having to diminish our retirement funds to cover our needs for the rest of our lives and probably be able to have the funds earn enough oveer the annunity we'll be reciving -- even in this terrible economic times -- to cover not only our expenses but continue to help our daughter until God and God's professional healing human angels heals her so she can finally work again. Once again I am awed by how having an all knowing God caring for us 24/7 means what we our needs are met long before we even know what we'll need to pray about to solve not only our financial but all other problems...if we'll only do our part when God nudges us to follow through on God "guidance". Thanks to one of Dr. Peale's books I read in the 1960s, I started studying how to not only turn things over to God and leave problems in God's hands but also learn how to discern what was his guidance about what I'd asked help with. So Dr. Peale's Guidepost by mail and -- now this online ministry -- has been helping our family with endless problems as well as keeping us positive no matter what...in the knowledge that God is always on duty and in charge...even when we forget or don't know what to ask for. There are not words God to thank You enough or all the people who have prayed for us starting in the 1960s when I had to snail mail my prayer requests to Guidepost prayer ministry. We thank and praise God, just as we always ask, in Jesus Christ's name.

Thank You Heavenly Father for blessing, healing and saving my Mother, Brother, family, friends, neighbors and me, continue to bless, guide and protect us. Forgive us of our sins. Thank You for giving me a good new job. Touch and heal my friends, t and j, both of whom are seriously ill. Bless those on our prayer list, homeless, unemployeed, uninsured, suffering loss, facing danger, disaster and bad weather, our public servants and service men. We ask in the name of Jesus, not our will, but Yours be done. Amen gcm

For a number of years, my son was addicted to pain pills. He lost his job, accumulated debts, and nearly died. He was arrested and put in jail for nearly 3 months. That was God's answer to our prayers. Tim has been clean and sober since August and is beginning a new job next week. He is dating is ex-wife and everyone sees the change. Thank God for answered prayers.
