Answered Prayers

It has been said there are three answers to our prayers: “yes,” “no” or “wait a while.”  However, underlying each and every answer is the silent promise, “I am here.”  Experience the power of God's love and feel the comfort of God’s presence in these true stories of answered prayer.

I asked for prayers for things to be straightened out for my son to get his new apartment. I even did a money transfer to him for part of the huge security deposit...well, he called me this morning and it was not in his account. He was going into a demanding job late to get this done, and now it was not happening. There was nothing I could do about it. I was upset, then i did the serenity prayer, and sent him an email that said I was sorry, but there was nothing I could do. He sent me a text saying that it was in God's hands and it would all turn out the way it was supposed to. Now THAT is an answer to a prayer. Maybe not the one for the apartment, and we will leave that up to God, but for my child to express such faith to me. God has been there for us in good and bad times and I am so glad to know that my most troubled child has come to rely on God just as his father and I do.

Thank You Heavenly Father for blessing, healing and saving my Mother, Brother, family, friends, neighbors and me, continue to bless, guide and protect us. Forgive us of our sins. Thank You for giving me a good new job. Touch and heal my friends, n, t and j, all of whom are seriously ill. Bless those on our prayer list, homeless, unemployeed, uninsured, suffering loss, facing danger, disaster and bad weather, our public servants and service men. We ask in the name of Jesus, not our will, but Yours be done. Amen gcm

Throughtout 2010 and 2011 I asked for prayer for my granddaughter, Christina, who was being harassed and stalked by a former friend who thought he was in love with her. She finally had to involved the police and get a restraining order. I'd like to say thank you to everyone who prayed for her and I am grateful to God for hearing our prayers. The young man has left her alone and I've heard that he has moved out of the area. God is so good!

I asked for prayers for my son to find a new job, as I was quite worried about him and his family. I asked for your prayers and he did find a new job that he is very happy with. Our Lord did listen to your prayers and mine and I thank you for your prayers.
