OurPrayer
A Prayer Service of Guideposts

Answered Prayers

It has been said there are three answers to our prayers: “yes,” “no” or “wait a while.”  However, underlying each and every answer is the silent promise, “I am here.”  Experience the power of God's love and feel the comfort of God’s presence in these true stories of answered prayer.

Through OurPrayer God is comforting me at this difficult time in my life. He has also answered prayer by making it possible for a reconciliation with a former friend. I have longed for this for so many years, and I guess I didn't really believe it was possible. But God is good, and He has given me an early Christmas present. I love everything about Guideposts, and I want to thank you for being there for me.

Thank You Heavenly Father for blessing, healing and saving my Mother, Brother, family, friends, neighbors and me, continue to bless, guide and protect us. Forgive us of our sins. Thank You for giving me a good new job. Touch and heal my friends, t and j, both of whom are seriously ill. Bless those on our prayer list, homeless, unemployeed, uninsured, suffering loss, facing danger, disaster and bad weather, our public servants and service men. We ask in the name of Jesus, not our will, but Yours be done. Amen gcm

I requested prayers for my husband who was in the ICU unit suffering from COPD, 2 heart attacks, plus numerous other conditions. I prayed if his departure time had arrived that God would allow him to come home to the farm he loved first. Against all odds, God answered my prayer. We were able to spend 45 days together until God called him home. We were married 53 years. Thanks to everyone for your prayers. It meant the world to both of us. Thanks be to God!

I just want to thank each and everyone for their prayers on the behalf of my family. This has been quite a year of ups and downs and I have posted many prayer requests. The comfort of being able to come to this place to request prayer is beyond words. My son found a job and his family is at a much better place. His health has improved! This is just one of the answered prayers this year. Praise God! May God continue to keep ahold of your hand and heart and bless you abundantly.

My wife and I have been struggling to reconcile our marriage of twenty six years after I recently admitted to an affair that I had over twenty years ago. She was deeply hurt, angry and dissapointed to say the least. Even though I have been otherwise faithful, she has been unable to commit to the possiblity that we could remain husband and wife. We have both been on the verge of emotional break downs and our lives and family overall have suffered greatly. I have prayed constantly for her to find peace and for her heart to be softened in her anger for me. Recently, there were several events that have caused just that to happen and although we still have a long way to go in healing, I again see hope that we can rekindle our promise and remain together. I know that those events that have caused the change for the better have been planted by God in response to my prayers and the prayers of family, friends and those at OurPrayer.org. Thank you for renewing my hope.
