Answered Prayers

It has been said there are three answers to our prayers: “yes,” “no” or “wait a while.”  However, underlying each and every answer is the silent promise, “I am here.”  Experience the power of God's love and feel the comfort of God’s presence in these true stories of answered prayer.

We have been in a legal battle with our estranged adopted daughter. About 6 months ago,she left our home, placed herself in foster care and completely turned her back on us.She is now 18 and will be in the system until she turns 21. She was wanting unsupervised visits with her younger brother.(We did allow the ordered visits -with us present). Nonetheless, due to the fact that we cannot trust her, we refused to allow him to be alone with her.Her response to this was to threaten us with contempt of court. I am pleased to report that God answered our prayers and the false charges of contempt of court have been dismissed.Praise God!

Praise be to God. Today is my 50th birthday, and I feeel great, look great and most of all I know God has truly truly blessed me throughout my 50 years of living. I just want to say Thank You Lord for never leaving my side, keeping your promise to me just as you have others with taking care of all of my needs. Amen.

Sorry God that I forgot yesterday evening to ask eveyone to thank and praise You with me for answering my "Somehow with your help God...this will all get done!" prayer so amazingly. As always when I pray this one I have far more than it seems possible to do within a certain deadline, which in this case was 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. The situation: to organize many, many files and piles of paper -- five years of research and book edits -- and put it elsewhere so as to finally after all these years liberate our living room (where I write on my book) of clutter so our family can enjoy our Christmas more this year. And as God always does, assisted this time by -- all praying with me this time -- the final hours of organizing went so smoothly that I could hardly believe when it was all done and even before the deadline. On frenetic last minute rushing around or hiding things instead of organizing them. Thank you, thank you, thank you God and everybody!!!

I once again want to express my thanks for answered prayers. I was beginning to get discouraged thinking my prayer wasn't being answered and had to keep reminding myself that it be the Lords will and not mine. As I look back I now realize that the Lord was working in my best interest. The job I really wanted and was best suited for was not immediately available, and it took a while for it to become available. I got that job and am very pleased and satisfied. ALWAYS trust in God and please don't ever lose faith, all prayers are answered in His Way and in His time. May God Bless you All, thank you for your prayers.

Thank you GOD for you continuing to hear my prayers and those who have prayed with and for me regarding my Husband and his work situation. He is looking less stressed and I am so grateful to you. I am also so grateful for this "OurPrayer" site. It's a great outlet and source of power in prayer.
