A Prayer Service of Guideposts

Answered Prayers

It has been said there are three answers to our prayers: “yes,” “no” or “wait a while.”  However, underlying each and every answer is the silent promise, “I am here.”  Experience the power of God's love and feel the comfort of God’s presence in these true stories of answered prayer.

I wrote to you about the possibility of a job opening that I so desparately needed. A lady retired from her position and I immediately submitted my application. That was on the 10th of Dec. by the 16th of Dec I was offered a part time position doing exactly what I had applied for. The full time position won't be filled until the middle of March. Thank God for the part time and continue to pray for me to get the full time position. It would have benefits and insurance that I so desparately need. Thank you again and please continue to pray.

I asked for deliverance prayer from a roomer who wasn't paying rent for over 3 months causing financial hardship and had every excuse why they couldn't move. I turned the battle over to the Lord and He gave me the victory. I had a replacement waiting to move in to God be the glory. I know this is just the beginning of my breakthrough that God has in store for me in 2012 and will be giving back triple what the devil stole.

I posted a prayer after I lost my job and was denied my unemployment. I was behind in my rent and other bills and had no real food in the house. I felt so desperate and alone and didn't know what to do or think. I submitted a prayer request and got a response with a prayer to say along with it. I have to admit I was afraid because if I lost my apt I knew I had no real place to go. Igot depressed and cried a lot along with praying as well for a new job to pay rent, bills and buy food. I am so blessed and happy to say that I just got a job that is much better than the last one I had and its much closer to home and in an area I want to be able to move into. In all that I was going thru I realized it was just Gods plan for my life and I needed to go thru it to strengthen my faith and to know and truly believe that with Him in my life all things are possible. I say all of this to just say "Thank you Jesus for all I have been Blessed with in my life". Amen

My mother had advanced cancer in her colon and a year after surgery it was checked out and it didn`t surface again. Her type of cancer is the 13th one in the whole world and the doctors are amazed by what she had! She is now doing very well, living on her own and she looks very healthy. I would like to thank the Lord for the help, love and care he has bestowed on us during this past year. Caroline

In the beginning of November, my son suffered a brain injury. While many of our prayers were answered, one in particular stands out and I feel the need to share the story with others. While he was the ICU he was unable to move his arms or his legs. One night he woke up and I asked him if he wanted me to swab his mouth with water. He said, "I want to do it myself" and began to cry. I laid my head down on his bed and silently prayed for God to comfort him. A few minutes later my son began to sing Amazing Grace and fell asleep. A few weeks later I was driving home from the hospital feeling totally defeated and hopeless. The idea to go to church with my sister and brother-in-law popped into my head. The next day I went to their church and guess what one of the songs the choir sang was? Amazing Grace of course!

I give thanks to the Lord with all my heart and soul and being for hearing and answering my prayers and showing me His miracles of mercy and everloving kindness. this glorios and holy time of the Birth of our Savior was looking grim with my present financial situation but praise the Lord we still have family and food on the table that so many in this time have naught, Praise the Lord and everlasting thanks for my wonderful family, for the food we have for our fortunes so blessed and thanks evermore for the deposit of money unknown in our account which helped so much. Lord please forgive me for my doubt and ungratefullness, my despair at times, praise you for giving me hope and not foresaking me in your anger at my continual transgressions. heavenly Father, Blessed Lord Jesus, thankyou and praise you for ever for your suffering and sacrifice, your everloving kindness, forgiveness, patience, mercy and all the miriacles you have given me and my family, My prayers are always answered in you time, Bless you and thankyou for all I have Amen
