A Prayer Service of Guideposts

Answered Prayers

It has been said there are three answers to our prayers: “yes,” “no” or “wait a while.”  However, underlying each and every answer is the silent promise, “I am here.”  Experience the power of God's love and feel the comfort of God’s presence in these true stories of answered prayer.

I was invited to attend a Thanksgiving dinner which was over 100 miles away. I had nightmares about a drive so far away in my old car. My daughter drove to the dinner location and called an hour later to say that she had to return home due to a water problem on the 1st floor. Praise God, I was able to have dinner less than half distance from my own home and I made it there and back with no car trouble.

Thank You Heavenly Father for blessing, healing and saving my Mother, Brother, family, friends, neighbors and me, continue to bless, guide and protect us. Forgive us of our sins. Thank You for giving me a good new job. Touch and heal my riends, t and j, both of whom are seriously ill. Bless those on our prayer list, homeless, unemployeed, uninsured, suffering loss, facing danger, disaster and bad weather, our public servants and service men. We ask in the name of Jesus, not our will, but Yours be done. Amen gcm

We have been praying and others have prayed with us that our grand daughter be allowed to stay in our home. Her mom recently died after a 10 year battle with leukemia and her father who has not had a relationship with her due to drugs, alcohol, and his verbally and physically abusive behaviors has been trying to get custody of her to move her out of state and to claim her social security money. His attorney called for a hearing before the judge with our attorney and our grand daughter's guardian out of the blue. The judge heard the plea and is allowing our grand daughter to stay with us until at least the end of the school year during which time her dad needs to do several things in order to retain custody of her (he filled for custody of her the week her mom died). Thank you God and everyone for hearing our plea and for praying for us.

"God, thank you for all the grace and favors which you have given me through the prayers of your Apostle, Jude Thaddeus. St. Jude, I thank you for your intercession in response to my prayers. I will always be grateful to you and will spread to devotion to you. Be with us always so we may face our problems with courage and serenity."

I want to thank guideposts and the people who pray for others. I had sold my mom's house that I inherited on land contract twelve years ago and the man who bought it was transferred out of state to work. He couldn't afford living in both places so he signed the house back to me. After months of restoring the house and trying to keep up two homes I was at the point of having to make a decision of leaving my own home to move out there. The house had been put up for sale and also to rent but we had no takers. On November 4th, the house was rented and I know it was thru God's grace and the prayers of guideposts and all my friends that this happened. I'm so awed by the power of prayer and God's grace. Thank you for being a part of my life. Wanda -

Thank you lord for helping me to avoid temptation and not spend any money at all during the holiday sales--it was your help that helped me to keep my wallet in my purse and not spend money that I really cannot afford.
