A Prayer Service of Guideposts

Answered Prayers

It has been said there are three answers to our prayers: “yes,” “no” or “wait a while.”  However, underlying each and every answer is the silent promise, “I am here.”  Experience the power of God's love and feel the comfort of God’s presence in these true stories of answered prayer.

Hallelujah! Praise the Lord! My prayer was answered. I received the money that I needed to purchase the hearing aids that I needed. Please continue to pray for me that God heals my ears that I can hear normally without having to use hearing aids. Thank you Father.

Dear Guideposts' Editors, I have had many answered prayers that I never knew, and I cry that the world is the way it is that I know these answered prayers to my adopted mom who was adopted herself, Maria L- who was born on May 31, 1925 and to me, Ingrid - (my mom thought she made up my middle name, but it turned out to be the name of a Swedish geologist, Carl-), who was adopted on May 28, 1959. I received my social security numbera month and a half after I turned 8 years old. It ended in 7005. I was only eight years old. When Casino Royale was made into a movie, I thought I had better see one of these spy movies. I never heard of Peter or Ian Fleming. I have prayed to God to thank Him for His rightgeous justice. My Christian mother would never have undertood this. I don't understand it, but I do pray and I see that so many of my prayers have been answered. I love God and Jesus Christ with all of my heart and soul.

Thank You Heavenly Father for blessing, healing and saving my Mother, Brother, family, friends, neighbors and me, continue to bless, guide and protect us. Forgive us of our sins. Thank You for giving me a good new job. Touch and heal my friends, t and j, both of whom are seriously ill. Bless those on our prayer list, homeless, unemployeed, uninsured, suffering loss, facing danger, disaster and bad weather, our public servants and service men. We ask in the name of Jesus, not our will, but Yours be done. Amen gcm

Thank you God for so many blessings and thank all of you that prayed for me. I had asked for prayers in dealing with my health insurance payments and things are moving along. I had asked for prayers for Christmas to focus on celebrating the day for what it is the birth of our glorious savior and not to wallow in self-pity because I would be alone. I found a way to spend Christmas with my cousins. I am a widow with no immediate family and no children. The past few years have been extremely difficult perhaps more so because I couldn't see God's fine hand at work but I do now. I pray I not lose sight of him in my daily life and pray that all who pray here are blessed. May we all celebrate this season of hope. Thank you.
