A Prayer Service of Guideposts

Answered Prayers

It has been said there are three answers to our prayers: “yes,” “no” or “wait a while.”  However, underlying each and every answer is the silent promise, “I am here.”  Experience the power of God's love and feel the comfort of God’s presence in these true stories of answered prayer.

Thank You Heavenly Father for blessing, healing and saving my Mother, Brother, family, friends, neighbors and me, continue to bless, guide and protect us. Forgive us of our sins. Thank You for giving me a good new job. Bless those on our prayer list, homeless, unemployeed, uninsured, suffering loss, facing danger, disaster and bad weather, our public servants and service men. We ask in the name of Jesus, not our will, but Yours be done. Amen gcm

I just wrote in today to ask for my husband and I to remain calm while we waited to find out about a large contract he was negotiating. We just found out that he got it. Through hard work and careful planning, yes, but also with the help of God. This gives 17 people new jobs. Thank you Lord.

Praise God for answering our cries! I wrote yesterday of my daughter's plight of possibly having her child support decreased in court today. But God had other plans. Her ex-husband did not even show up for court! The judge has dealt with him before in their divorce preceedings and realized that he is not responsible so he will not put this case back on the docket. And... in our state he will not be able to petition the court again for three years! I just wanted to give the Lord praise and credit, and to possibly help encourage someone else who may be struggling in their faith. Remember, He is faithful. In Christ, Sharon

Over a year and half ago, I needed to take a prep course for an exam. I couldn't afford the course, so I studied for the exam on my own and took it. I didn't pass and I knew it was because I really needed to take the course. Well today I was able to sign up and pay for the course on my own in full w/o loans or credit and will be taking the course next year. God is so good! I'm really excited. I'm waiting on him to move in another very important area of my life regarding a relationship and I believing he's worked it out already. Praise God!!

I requested prayer this morning for my wife's car. Her lights would not turn off and she was worried about the battery running down. About a minute after I submitted the request, she called to inform me that someone had showed her how to fix it. Thank God!

Father, I've been in a dark place, a black hole. I'm overwhelmed by depression, broken heartedness and lonliness. It has been an effort putting one foot in front of the other. I dread waking up in the mornings. I requested prayer for deliverance from depression, anxiety and lonliness. I continue to request prayer for those things and for a special Christ centered miracle. Today, for the first time in a very long time I awake sincerely thanking God for a new day. Thanksgiving and praise were on my lips. Thank you Jesus. Please continue to lift me up in prayer. Amen.
