A Prayer Service of Guideposts

Answered Prayers

It has been said there are three answers to our prayers: “yes,” “no” or “wait a while.”  However, underlying each and every answer is the silent promise, “I am here.”  Experience the power of God's love and feel the comfort of God’s presence in these true stories of answered prayer.

I started building my dream home in 2004. After three weeks I discovered that my finances were drained and nothing was happening. I prayed that God would send me an honest person to do my work. It took seven years but it was worth the wait. After 4 weeks I can see my dream becoming a reality. I am so grateful. Thank you God and to the Guidepost family.

I asked for help in prayer and it came through with flying colors. I was facing 33 months in prison because of past stupid mistakes. I went to court and they came up with a deal for me, 20 days in the county jail. Who could believe that I would get that kind of break in my life.

I had requested that you pray for fiancial help for us. The prayer was answered in a shorter time than expected, and I want to thank you for praying for me and thank God for hearing the prayer.

I asked numerous Christians at church, on-line and at their churches to pray for car repairs I could afford and the Lord blessed me. I had prayed for an affordable, nice large rental home and again that prayer was championed. Thank you Dear Jesus. I need prayer about my marriage and family now. Please ask the Lord to help me with a very difficult situation where I am torn between my wife and my adult, difficult son.

Thank you for your beautiful prayer! I asked for prayer for my husbands mental health, our marriage as well as for our finacial situation. This past weekend was sooo very difficult but through circumstances and a godly friend, we have recommitted to working on our marriage and our finances together and seeking God and counsel for the mess in our marriage. My husband got to see an md also, praise the Lord. Please keep us in prayer...it will be a long road for us but I do have hope and faith in our merciful God!

I fell on October 15 and seriously injured my ankle - I was on crutches with air cast and it was swollen 3 times normal plus almost black from bruising. I had done same thing 20 years ago and healing was slow and painful. Dr. said no fracture but probably torn ligaments and healing would take as long as a fracture if not longer - possibly even months. A week later the ankle was more swollen and painful than when I first hurt it. I asked for prayer that it would heal quickly and completely. Two days later the swelling began to go down extremely fast and the pain with it. In only 10 days from the time I hurt the foot there was extreme improvement and in 2 weeks I was able to do everything I was able to before the injury without pain. Praise God!
