Answered Prayers

It has been said there are three answers to our prayers: “yes,” “no” or “wait a while.”  However, underlying each and every answer is the silent promise, “I am here.”  Experience the power of God's love and feel the comfort of God’s presence in these true stories of answered prayer.

I prayed for our financial burden to be lifted. There was a letter in my mail box at work. It stated that because my supervisor was leaving, and I must pick up additional duties. Because of this I will received and additional $2.40 an hour. Praise the Lord! Thank you for all of your prayers. My God, the power of prayer.

I submitted a prayer request tonight for my wife Christine who has been having abdominal pain for several months which became suddenly and significantly worse tonight. She has been afraid to see a doctor and has been fearful of a serious, life altering diagnosis. She finally went to the emergency room tonight with the worsening of the pain and found that it is a more or less simple gallbladder and urinary bladder infection. This is much easier for her to take than the cancer diagnosis she had feared. I believe that prayer to God has the ability to not only heal physically but emotionally as well. Thank you God for the gift and healing power of prayer and for the grace that you shower us with daily.

I have visited this site quite often asking for prayers for me and my family, so many times I have not shared the answered prayers that I have been blessed to recieve, this is a answered prayer that one might not seem big to them, but for me it is huge. The other day my boyfriend and I were both arrested on traffic warrants, I not knowing that I had a warrant for my arrest was not worried, I was wrong I had a two year traffic warrant that I had not known about, well forgot about the court. I was sitting in my cell with another female and I begin to pray silently that the Lord would bless me and I could be released that night. I had prayed that I could be allowed to make a free phone call as my family does not accept collect calls. The Lord truly truly blessed me I not only got out that same night, but out of the prisoners that was brought in with me I was the only one that was able to make a free phone call. It was truly a eye opener for me as I thought the Lord had forgotten about me for different reasons. I now know the devil is a liar and with the Lord's help all things are possible. I aslo prayed that my boyfriend would get out as well, that did not quite happen like that, but the judge did lower his bail from 500.00 t0 100.00 where I can pay it. Thank you Lord. He is still looking for a job and things are rough with only me working and paying all of the bills but through God's grace we have made it. Please continue to pray for me and my family as winter approaches and my gas is cut off and the bill is four hundred dollars to get restored, but I know in my heart that Jesus will not let his children suffer.
