Answered Prayers

It has been said there are three answers to our prayers: “yes,” “no” or “wait a while.”  However, underlying each and every answer is the silent promise, “I am here.”  Experience the power of God's love and feel the comfort of God’s presence in these true stories of answered prayer.

My cousin had been unemployed for 3 years. During that time, she lost her home and her marriage fell apart. We prayed for her as a family, as a church and even posted prayer requests for her on this site. God opened a door when she took a temp position where she was told it would not become permanent and she should continue to look for another job. On her breaks at the temp job she would chat with a lady, but never knew her name. When a position became available at the company she called and it turned out the hiring manager was the lady she often talked to on break. In the name of Jesus, she starts her new permanent position next week.

I helped to move my family across country from L. V. to . GA, in the midst of the trip our gas pump gave out! We just purchased a new one two weeks prior to the trip. We had merely enough funds to reach our destination, when the shop gave us a hefty $1,200.00 bill! We slept in the Truck, froze the night before and we prayed that the Lord would help us. The next day after spending the fringed night in the truck, we called a family friend and she not only paid the $1,200.00 for the car to be fixed she put an extra $200.00, in our account for gas. My eyes are so very bad, I can't see at night. However, mid-way through the trip we were stricken with a virus, and I had to take the wheel. I drove through the night as I asked the Lord to give me spiritual eyes, He did and we made it home safe! I noticed that during the trip, the roads had only a hand full of people on them and the sky and air had an angelic feel to it, it was as if we were in the presence of "greatness".

Thank you for praying for my son while he was undergoing two separate surgical procedures for epilepsy. The first one was on Sept. 17, a day your email said was especially for prayers for healing. The surgery went well, and he is recovering well. Only time will tell whether or not the surgery ended his seizures, but we are very hopeful. We had a very dramatic answer to our prayer during the monitoring time. He had electrodes implanted on his brain and was waiting in ICU for a seizure to occur so the surgeon would know exactly which tissue to remove. It had been a week, and he still had not had a seizure. I was typing on C. that my prayer was that if he were ever going to have another seizure again, it would be while he was still hooked up to the monitors. The instant I finished typing that sentence, he began to have a seizure. The doctors were able to get the data they needed and did the surgery the next day. God has blessed us so richly! We could feel the prayers of everyone who was praying.
