Answered Prayers

It has been said there are three answers to our prayers: “yes,” “no” or “wait a while.”  However, underlying each and every answer is the silent promise, “I am here.”  Experience the power of God's love and feel the comfort of God’s presence in these true stories of answered prayer.

In August of 2013, our only child, John, who is now 24 years old, reached the peak of his anxiety. He was so overtaken by it that he could not keep his food down. He cried to me like a small child. Even though I felt like I was being consumed by his anxiety and its symptoms, I kept strong, and held on to God. The doctors who saw him initially could not find anything wrong with his stomach. One day, after another unsuccessful doctor's visit, he and his dad called me on their way home, and my son was in tears. I went down on my knees and prayed to God for guidance. He led us to another doctor who prescribed John "Remeron". And then, a friend, who knew of my son's condition, led me to the patron saint of those who have emotional and mental problems. I emailed the shrine in O., and received a reply. I signed up to be a member, they sent me prayer books, and I started a devotion to her. As I write this, my son is well, through the grace of God prayers and intersession. I did not hear and I am grateful that a friend told me about her. I would like to pass this on to those who might be having emotional or mental problems such as anxiety, depression, bi-polar disorders, and such. prayers and intersession is very powerful. The immediate reversal of my son's condition attests to that. pray for us.

I was told I was going to need shoulder surgery and others said they were off work for 4 to 6 weeks. After requesting prayers for healing and after numerous diagnostic tests including MRI and CT-Scan the surgeon said it should heal on it's own and just need physical therapy. Thanks be to God for his healing power!

I have a praise report. I had requested prayer for my son and his job search many times. Praise the LORD ---he got a new job today. TO GOD BE THE GLORY! Thank you--Thank you prayer warriors for your prayers---we know that In His Time --all things will work out---even though we become discouraged--we have to hold on, keep the faith, and know that God is in control. Praise the Lord!!!!!!
