printIt was a beautiful spring day, and a sense of peace stayed with me as I left the Cathedral on Easter Monday morning. I paused for a moment on top of the steps leading to the Avenue, now crowded with people rushing to their jobs. Sitting in her usual place inside a small archway was the old flower lady. At her feet corsages and boutonnieres were parading on top of a spread-open newspaper.
The flower lady was smiling, her wrinkled old face alive with some inner joy. I started down the stairs-then, on an impulse, turned and picked out a flower.

As I put it m my lapel, I said, "You look happy this morning." "Why not? Everything is good."
She was dressed so shabbily and seemed so very old that her reply startled me, "You've been sitting here for many years now, haven't you? And always smiling. You wear your troubles well."
"You can't reach my age and not have troubles," she replied. "Only it's like Jesus and Good Friday..." She paused for a moment.
"Yes?" I prompted.
"Well, when Jesus was crucified on Good Friday, that was the worst day for the whole world. And when I get troubles I remember that, and then I think of what happened only three days later–Easter and our Lord arising. So when I get troubles, I've learned to wait three days . . . somehow everything gets all right again."
And she smiled goodbye. Her words still follow me whenever I think I have troubles... "Give God a chance to help...wait three days."

I'm grateful to be reminded that God wants us to wait because God is never too late to make His power known to all the people. Jesus Christ went through so much pain but He waited for three days in the grave and God rose Him up. This is so powerful and touching message. You don't have to run away from your problems just wait unto the and He'll answer.
Really, we must learn to trust God and WAIT on Him. Most of the things we fear in life are all bark and no bite.
Am so touched by this message though it's my first time to get to know about it, three days have also changed my life. It's all about FAITH. Am always gona look up to three days!!

What a wonderful and encouraging experience. It goes a long way to confirm that ONLY GOD can promise us things and when we wait upon Him He does not change the good plans He has in store for us.

Thank you for this story. I had never heard this story before. I will remember three days, To me it means patience and faith and waiting on GOD'S perfect timming.
This is the first time I heard this story,but it brought such peace to my life. Giving God time to work is all we need to do, it's called faith.
I was feeling so much depressed and frustrated.I so needed to be reminded of waiting on God.God orchestrated it for me and that too today......Its a reassurance that He is working for me even if I cannot see.

I first heard this story 3 years ago, Yes, 3 Easters ago. Now, I See God has used it to powerfully to open up my dead mind, heart, and Spirit. To set me Free. I See my life is different now, because as I read it, again, Now, I See I can smile within and quietly say in my Soul that Now, All Is Well With My Soul, My Life. Time does heal All wounds, hurts, pains as it teaches us to FORGIVE I See Now For My Own Self the Blessings I have reaped, So So Many, and I See Even More to Come.
