Julie Garmon and Marion Bond West
Marion Bond West won the Guideposts writing contest in 1976. She's written about almost every emotion she’s ever experienced. Sharing honestly about widowhood resulted in a four-month long distance relationship and marriage for Marion and Gene Acuff in 1987. Julie Garmon grew up the daughter of a writer. At age 10, she began editing her mother’s writing with a red Magic Marker. She still does. Julie writes from her upstairs writing loft in a log cabin built by her husband. She dreams of becoming a novelist.
