I just read your book and was amazed at the story. I have read Guideposts for many years now, every since I received a gift subscription from my sister. The stories are always moving and significant. But the main reason I found the book so amazing is the way that it spoke to me. I grew up in an abusive household and have struggled with the turmoil that leaves in one life. I have mostly recovered and lead a good life, but I still struggle with a few issues. Your book spoke to me and gave me hope that I can persevere through the demons that still exist and someday soon be whole. Thank you for having the courage to tell your story.

Thank you, Edward, for your book and, especially, your own story. Have now read it twice and was comforted every time. So it rests on my nighttable along with Praying for my life by Marion Bond West. But I get a lot of comfort from reading many of the other Guideposts publications and Daily Guide-posts, of course, whose contributors I consider brothers and sisters. Been subscribing for over 20 years.
I send you all my best wishes for a Happy Easter, particular-ly your Canadian contributors whom I read with extra appreciation as they feel even closer.
So, thanks to all of you for the peaceful times and comfort I receive from your meditations and stories every day.

Recently in a book store just walking around I came across your book quite "by accident" Of course, it wasn't by accident as I wanted to read it amd when I did I couldn't believe your journey. How you survived through all your difficulties is amazing. Only God could have pulled you through those days of turmoil. Your words were inspiring to anyone in the grips of addiction. We all have learned many lessons by reading this book. Thank you, Anita Turdo, River Vale, NJ

Thank you, Sue. You make a lot of sense. Hope you like the book. I definitely left my pedestall behind. -E

Edward, Thank You for writing "The Promise of Hope". I look forward to reading it. I know it is hard to tell Your own story but it is so important that Christians do not sit on their pedestal and not let people know how life was before Jesus became the focus of Your life. It helps people so when Your story is told who may not be reached by Christ otherwise. Thanks again. Sue Farrell Laurel Hill, NC
