As I read Debbie's story "My Spiritual Vocabulary" I pondered on the thoughts she had written. I have volunterred to do a devotional this month for ladies from the church and thought about what I would say. I decided to share the message Debbie challenged us with. I have chosen the word TRUST for my word for 2012 and for the devotional. Having read many scriptures and hymns as I prepare ,it has been a great journey. I look forward to this year of TRUST.

Thank you Debbie for the challenge!!

I can relate to Debbie's story!! And to Holly, I too am a little afraid and excited about the word God dropped into my spirit as I cried out to Him! CONSISTENT! Oh, Lord, You know that word has been completely opposite to how I have been living my christian walk lately! Just call me Mrs. Rollercoaster Christian, definitely NOT Sister Steadfast! I immediately looked the word up in the dictionary.. "not varing", oh brother, ok, I submit because Debbie's article had such an impact on me! I have posted this on my bathroom mirror: (I HAVE to look at it everyday as I put my makeup on!)
Christ centered
Obedient
Never go back
Soul balance
In love with Jesus
Sold out
Truth
Energetic
Not wavering
Timing....God's, not mine! Thx! Debra Lewis, Conyers, GA

I loved this story in January's issue from Debbie. I have recently begun journaling again and it has been a huge blessing to me. To sit and have that time alone with my thoughts pouring out on paper and giving it all to God ~ the ways He has spoken to me through those times has been monumental. When I read this article I began to think about a word for me - Perseverance is what kept coming to my mind but I was afraid of what that would mean, so I kept praying and looking and guess what? Perseverance will be my word for the year 2012. I am afraid, excited and hopeful for the journey it will take me on and I will continue to look to God for the lessons He has for me and I pray that I can get a blessing ang grow in my faith, but more importantly be a blessing and a good Christian example to others in my life that need to see God's work.

Thank you Debbie for sharing this story!
