I am 86 years old, a widow. Recently, I connected with a gentleman, Robert, 87 years old, who attended my old school, via classmates.com. I have a void in my heart for real love, as my marriage was a disaster. On the other hand, Robert had a lovely marriage of 60-something years
and often refers to his deceased wife. I pray, that in time, our friendship will turn to love. Is there a chance?
I cling to the hope that "with God, all things are possible". Pray with me, please.

Just by 'chance' helping a friend with a web issue, I found this comment. First I just want to say that their are many kinds of love but I am delighted that it is of deep interest to you at 86 as a widow. If there are any ideas that love is no longer important at a certain age everyone is wrong.
I am delighted that you have renewed a friendship with someone you knew at an earlier age and seemed to trust. That you have found someone even to spend time with in true friendship, and the quiet pleasure of conversation. As you must know, there are many marriages absent of these factors and they make for a very empty life. I pray that you treasure your moments with you old friend and that your time together will be blessed regardless of the form that it takes or does not take romantically. And that God's Peace and Joy will be with you always!
