From hilarious comedies about second careers to moving explorations of childhood identity, the Autumn TV lineup is packed with exciting new shows. Here are six programs you might want to add to your watch list.
Premieres September 12 (Vudu)
This adaptation of the hit 1980s move Mr. Mom is perfect for busy families—each episode is under 15 minutes long. The series follows Megan and Greg, a couple whose life is upended when Megan gets a new job, and Greg becomes a stay-at-home dad. It's a heartwarming and funny show for the whole family to enjoy.

Everybody Loves Raymond actress Patricia Heaton headlines this quirky comedy about a woman who decides to pursue her dream of becoming a doctor, after raising her children and retiring from her career as a teacher. Hilarity ensues when she becomes a medical intern and must work with other interns who are the age of her children.

When an accomplished music professor (Bradley Whitford) encounters an amateur choir in a church, he finds himself in charge of a ragtag group of singers, including Pitch Perfect star Anna Camp. It's an upbeat and musical comedy about finding community and joy, while hitting the perfect note.

The spinoff to the hit comedy Black-ish follows the matriarch of the Johnson family, Rainbow Johnson, as she grows up in a mixed-race family in the 1980s. When her family decides to move from a commune to the suburbs, Rainbow must search for her true identity and grow up in a strange environment.

After releasing six episodes in the spring of 2019, the new comedy from the creator of New Girl returns this fall for a full season. Lake Bell and Dax Shepard star as a city couple who decide to pursue a simple life living as farmers in Nebraska.
Premieres September 9 2:00/1:00c (NBC)
The winner of American Idol is launching her own talk show this fall. The Kelly Clarkson show will be an hour long and feature music, celebrity interviews and games.
