The Perfect Blueberry Pie

This blueberry dessert is a mouth-watering treat for your Labor Day celebration.

What better use for delicious and nutritious blueberries than to bake them in a pie? End the summer with a bang and delight your family and friends with this delicious dessert. 

Ingredients

3 c. fresh blueberries 1 Tbs lemon juice
¼ c. brown sugar 1 egg white
¼ c. granulated sugar 2 tsp Turbinado Sugar
¼ c. plain flour 1 pie crust, homemade or ready-made

Preparation

1. Mix brown sugar, granulated sugar, and flour until blended well.

2. Pour lemon juice over fresh blueberries then add the dry mixture making sure to coat all of the blueberries. Pour into pie crust and top with a lattice crust.

3. Beat egg white with a drop of water and brush it on the top crust. Sprinkle Turbinado sugar over egg wash.

4. Bake in a 350° oven approx. 45 min. or until crust is golden brown.

Serves 8.
