This hearty and delicious dish will be a hit with the whole family—and company, too!

Green beans cooked or canned may be added to the meat mixture in this delicious recipe.
|2 lbs. potatoes||¼ c. chopped green pepper|
|1 Tbsp. butter||1 lb. ground beef|
|1 egg, beaten||1 tsp. Kitchen Bouquet or Worcestershire sauce|
|1 tsp. salt||2 tablespoons flour|
|⅛ tsp. pepper||½ tsp. salt|
|2 Tbsp. butter||½ tsp. pepper|
|½ c. chopped onion||1 c. cold water|
1. Preheat oven to 350. Cook potatoes until soft; mash, and add 1 tablespoon butter, egg, 1 teaspoon salt, and ⅛ teaspoon pepper; blend until smooth.

2. Meanwhile melt 2 tablespoon butter, add onion and green pepper, and cook 2 minutes; add ground beef. Add Kitchen Bouquet or Worcestershire sauce. Cook until lightly browned.
3. Mix flour, ½ teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon pepper, and cold water; add to meat. Cook, stirring until thickened.
4. Put in casserole dish; top with potatoes. Sprinkle with paprika. Bake 20 minutes or until heated through.
Serves 8 to 10.
