The men (and boys) in your life will love these hearty, satisfying and, best of all, tasty Italian hero sandwiches.
Ingredients
| 1 rectangular ciabatta | 1 ½ Tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil |
| 5 sun-dried tomatoes in oil, sliced | ¼ lb. prosciutto, thinly sliced |
| ¼ lb. hard salami, thinly sliced | ½ lb. mozzarella cheese, sliced |
| Freshly ground black pepper | â…› tsp. dried oregano |
Preparation
1. Slice bread horizontally; lay each half, cut side up, on a work surface. Drizzle with oil.
2. On one half, add tomatoes and lay prosciutto to cover. Repeat with salami and mozzarella. Top with pepper and oregano. Cover with other half of bread.
3. Press down on sandwich and wrap in plastic wrap. Press under heavy saucepans for up to overnight in refrigerator. When ready to eat, unwrap loaf, cut into servings and serve or rewrap.
