Previous Prayers

Day 21: A Year of Favor
You crown the year with a bountiful harvest; even the hard pathways overflow with abundance. Psalm 65:11 NLT
Be assured that God is preparing a year of favor for you. Live today fully and be excited about the months to come filled with God’s unending love and abundance. Thank Him for preparing great things specifically for you.

Heavenly Father, help me passionately embrace this year. Inspire me to live purposefully, trusting You with the days ahead.

Congratulations! You have just spent 21 days deepening your faith and growing your prayer life. We hope these daily Scriptures and reflections have encouraged your faith and helped you experience the glorious goodness of God.
Day 20: Live Your Purpose
I cry out to God Most High, to God who fulfills his purpose for me. Psalm 57:2 ESV
Don’t be discouraged if your goals for the new year aren’t going as you had planned. Every day is a fresh start. You have a purpose for being here and the best part is that God will help you fulfill it.

Heavenly Father, Author of Purpose, I am ready to serve. Guide me on the path You’ve set for me.
Day 19: Your Best Self
In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. 1 Peter 1:6-7 NIV
Although you cannot control everything that happens in your life, you can control how you react to challenges. When you approach life’s storms as learning experiences that will help make you a stronger and better person, you can see the silver lining of every cloud.

Dear Lord, guide me to being an eager student of life—to see every struggle as a tool to shape me into my best.
Day 18: Keep Your Mind on God
You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. Isaiah 26:3 NKJV
If your mind is filled with negative thoughts fixed on fear and resentment, you will have no inner peace. This passage advises you to practice thinking about God, to keep your mind "stayed" not on your troubles but on Him.

Heavenly Father, I will keep my mind fixed on You as many minutes during the day as possible. I will turn away from my fears and negative thoughts and turn to You instead.
Day 17: Comfort from the Cold
May your unfailing love be my comfort. Psalm 119:76 NIV
God’s love warms your heart during the cold season of winter. He soothes the lonely wintry places in our lives and fills us with hope and courage. In the stillness of your heart, God’s power protects you.

Heavenly Father, thank You for being my true Source of comfort. Cradle me in Your arms and soothe me with Your love.
Day 16: An Amazing Work in Progress
Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Philippians 3:12 NIV
Life is a series of goals to reach and lessons to learn. Sometimes our trials may seem unclear—the lessons unresolved. In times of uncertainty, press forward and trust that your life is a beautiful, amazing work in progress.

Heavenly Father, help me learn to love the uncertainties and trials—the works in progress—that You are completing in my life.
Day 15: God’s Healing Power
For I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal, declares the LORD.... Jeremiah 30:17 ESV
If you or someone you love is facing emotional or physical pain, turn to God in prayer. Quiet your mind as you focus on His restorative power, welcoming His word to your body and spirit. Read and reread healing scriptures such as Psalm 30:2 and Psalm 103:3,

Great Physician, even when I’m not feeling my best, I can be grateful for Your care. I commit myself to Your loving arms.
Day 14: Be Happy at Work
But a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. James 1:25 KJV
If you’re not happy at work, try changing your attitude and see if it makes a difference. Focus on your purpose and ask God to fill your heart with enthusiasm. Give your best and trust your efforts have value.

Heavenly Father, inspire me to find satisfaction in my work and help me to be grateful for having the means to earn a living.
Day 13: Infinite Possibility
O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is Your name in all the earth! … When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him? Psalm 8:1a, 3-4, NIV
When you consider the many miracles in this world—from glorious sunrises to the beauty and vastness of winter night skies—you realize that God’s greatness goes beyond what He has created and nothing is beyond His power. Absolutely nothing! He is limitless.

Heavenly Father, You are miraculously working in each of us. I am in awe of Your greatness. Because of You, nothing is impossible!
Day 12: Embrace Change
I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. Revelation 22:13 NIV
Change can be beautiful. This verse is a reminder to be brave and accept endings and new beginnings with God’s grace. Embrace your feelings—experience them and then release them to prepare your heart for what is to come.

Heavenly Father, with Your help I can be thankful for the past and focus on the blessings to be.

Day 11: Give Your Worries to God
Give your worries to the LORD, and he will take care of you. He will never let good people down. Psalm 55:22 NCV
Is something bothering you? Loosen your fingers on the problem and release the situation into God’s hands. God is your refuge and strength. He is your very present help. Open up and let Him in.

Dear Lord, this message is so simple and yet so often I just don’t let go. Help me change this about myself, starting right now.
Day 10: Love with All You’ve Got
Jesus replied: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Matthew 22:37–39 NIV
Jesus asks us to LOVE with our whole being, our whole-heart, and all our soul and mind. When we love as Jesus models—we can heal the deepest hurts, overcome the toughest challenges and accomplish the greatest things. Pray this verse when you need more love in your life.

Dear God, please let my life be filled with love.
Day 9: No Place for Lukewarm Faith
“I know your works; you are neither cold nor hot. I wish that you were either cold or hot. So, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I am about to spit you out of my mouth.” Revelation 3:15–16 NRSV
God doesn’t want your spirit to be lukewarm. He wants you to live a full life with a full heart. He wants you to be enthusiastic about your prayer life and excited for the opportunity to delve deeper into His Word.

Lord Jesus, I come to you with an open heart. Let me live passionately for You.
Day 8: Follow Jesus
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6 NIV
Do your best to follow the example of Jesus Christ. Use the Bible and His teachings to help you lead a happy and fulfilled life. Miracles happen when ordinary people serve an extraordinary God.

Dear Jesus, I will follow You in my thoughts and actions. I will turn to You for guidance and live in the consciousness of Your presence.
Day 7: A Blessed Future
Be careful what you think, because your thoughts run your life. Proverbs 4:23 NCV
It may sound overly simple, but how you think about your future, shapes it. Instead of falling into negative thinking about tomorrow, fill your mind with happy thoughts and positive goals.

Dear Lord, thank You for filling my future with heavenly blessings.
Day 6: Begin with Gratitude
Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 NLT
Gratitude is the key to change. When facing a situation that seems confusing or upsetting, thank God for His understanding. Praise Him for His wisdom and guidance.

Heavenly Father, I can endure any situation because I know You are working on my behalf. I’m safe in Your hands.
Day 5: New Perspective
So we continue to preach Christ to each person, using all wisdom to warn and to teach everyone, in order to bring each one into God's presence as a mature person in Christ. Colossians 1: 28 NCV
Is there is an upsetting situation in your life that seems impossible to change. Often by stepping outside the drama and looking at the situation from all angles you can release your feelings of anger or judgement. Even a slight shift in perspective can be a catalyst to harmony.

Heavenly Father, thank You for helping me view the difficult situations in my life from a wider lens.
Day 4: A New Year Filled with Hope
And so, Lord, where do I put my hope? My only hope is in you. Psalm 39:7 NLT
Spend time thanking God for all He has done for you. When you delight in the Lord your heart shifts to a place that aligns your will with His. Happiness does not depend on your circumstances, because He fulfills you.

Lord, in a world filled with change and uncertainty You are my constant Hope.
Day 3: Spiritual Growth
Put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. Ephesians 4:24 NLT
Spiritual growth and making positive changes in your life take time. Be patient with the process. Celebrate even the smallest successes. Don't rush your advancement, but invest in it every day.

Heavenly Father, if I feel discouraged help me to be patient, understanding, kind and loving to myself.
Day 2: Pure Devotion
In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:16 NIV
One of the purest forms of devotion is service—doing God’s work on earth. By bringing happiness, peace and security to others, we bring His heavenly traits to earth. When we serve others, we serve Christ.

Our Heavenly Father, help me to live so that not only do I have strength and joy myself, but that I may help others and build Your kingdom on earth.
Day 1: A Life of Abundance
Yield now and be at peace with Him; thereby good will come to you. Job 22:21 NASB
God wants you to have an abundant life. He longs to help you clear your mind of negative thoughts that hold you back. When you consciously agree to open your life to His touch, you will receive His peace and abundance.

Heavenly Father, I am amazed at the marvelous things You can do when I surrender myself to You.
