Where Is Our Focus?

For a connection to be intimate, the placement of focus is key.

In a post from October, I wrote about the Wild Animal Safari, in Pine Mountain, Georgia. It is a wonderful place to visit. This photograph is of a mouflon sheep and was taken there during my last visit.

While doing a little research about this sheep, one source that said they are native to “regions of Turkey, Azerbaijan, Russia and the country of Georgia.” It is neat to be able to see animals that are not native to the United States right here in Georgia.

It is important when photographing animals to photograph the animal’s eyes. I enjoy photographs that I have shot where I have an intimate connection with the animal through our eyes meeting.

I shoot manually, and when I focus on an animal, I usually put a single focus point on the animal’s eye. I do this because it is critical for the eye to be sharp.

Just as with our relationship with the Lord, it is critical we have our focus on Him.

He wants our gaze to be upon Him seeking His face for direction and guidance in our lives. Is our focus on Him?

Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always. (1 Chron. 16:11, NIV)
