For His Sake…

Two women talking outdoors

Now I want you to know, brothers, that what has happened to me has really served to advance the gospel.—PHILIPPIANS 1:12 NIV

God takes the trials we go through and uses them for His glory. In fact, He generally advances His kingdom through
difficult circumstances.

Whether you’re a daughter providing for an aging parent, a mother caring for a disabled child, or a nurse working with chronically ill patients, the Lord wants to encourage you today. He is using your situation—the good and the bad of it—to woo others to Him.

Imagine this: You’ve worked years caring for someone in need. You’ve fed, bathed, and clothed him. You’ve swept floors, cooked meals, driven to appointments—and that’s just the start. You feel as if you’re completely spent—and then something amazing happens. Just as you’re ready to call it a day, a neighbor—someone you don’t even know—stops by for a visit. She’s been watching you for months and wants to know your secret. “How do you keep going?” she says. And you realize you’ve been offered an amazing opportunity to tell this woman about the love of Christ!

Always remember that God is indeed using you…in ways even greater than you know.

Today's Prayer:

Dear Lord, I thank You for choosing to use me to reach out to others, that they might know Your great love!
