God Chooses You
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.—1 Peter 2:9 (NIV)
And this is His commandment: We must believe in the name of His Son, Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as he commanded us.—1 John 3:23 (NLT)
There is great power in speaking Jesus’ name. When you are going through a difficult time or feeling alone or frightened, simply say His name and repeat this verse, “The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe” (Proverbs 18:10). Feel His peace and know that He is with you.
