When You Are Afraid

There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.—1 John 4:18 (NIV)

The Bible tells us specifically, “Do not fear” (Isaiah 41:10). But since we’re not perfect, for most of us, fear is a part of life. So when you feel afraid, fight fear with faith. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers.

Today's Prayer:

Lord, thank You for being with me. I know You can turn the worst into the best. You are bigger than anything I fear.
