Hi, I’m Rick Hamlin, and I want to tell you about an important day coming up, Good Friday Day of Prayer, April tenth. We ask you to send your prayer requests and it’s a time when we gather here in our offices and online around the world to pray for them. I want to tell you about a story about somebody who did send a request to us. She was really worried about her son, he had terrible drug addictions and he was living on the streets in Las Vegas, she lived in New Jersey, she prayed and prayed for him that something would turn him around and she sent a request to us. Well, one day, he was out in a park in Las Vegas and a piece of paper fluttered down from a tree and he looked at it and it said, “Without my trials and hardships, I would never know the way you turn burdens into blessings.” And on the back of it, it said Guideposts and OurPrayer and it’s the thing that started turning him around it set him back on the road to recovery. It’s an amazing coincidence because his mom was praying for him in New Jersey and somehow he got this piece of paper in Las Vegas, to reach out in prayer.
