She Helps Rescue Dogs from Oklahoma Find Homes in New York City

Nina Roedeler organizes rescue transports each month for Friends with Four Paws, connecting pups who were saved from high-kill shelters in Oklahoma with New Yorkers eager to give those pups a forever home.

On a rainy Saturday afternoon, Nina Roedeler met a van full of dogs in Queens, New York, that had made a long journey to meet their new families. She organizes rescue transports each month for Friends with Four Paws, connecting adopters with pups who were saved from high-kill shelters in Oklahoma. Check out these photos from one of her transport days, and if you’d like to see more stories like this, subcribe to All Creatures magazine.
