Sand art is the practice of molding and shaping sand into art. The two basic building ingredients—of sand and water—are available in abundance on sandy beaches everywhere. Good sculpture sand is somewhat dirty, having silt and clay that helps lock the irregular-shaped sand grains together; while sand grain found in tidal beaches have a shape that limits height and structure of pieces. Enjoy these sand sculptures from beaches around the world.
