We had a great time putting this special, full-size edition together...
I can’t believe I’m actually sitting at my desk thumbing through our first-ever edition of the Guideposts' annual, The Joys of Christmas 2010. (Of course one of the inaugural joys of the season is “The Joy of Angels”!)
We had a great time putting this special, full-size edition together over the summer months, but somehow, while I was in the middle of working on it, I never imagined myself holding the finished publication in my hands—or finding some time to enjoy it. But this afternoon I was feeling caught up on my emails, confident that the current issue of Angels on Earth is in good shape, and relieved to have checked a couple of hard-to-find items off my Christmas shopping list at lunchtime.
The city is full of lights and tourists and elaborate window displays. We’ve seen our first snowflakes at home. Angels of all kinds—heavenly angels and friendly earth angels—seem to be everywhere. The Joys of Christmas 2010 starts out on just the right note, with an observation by Norman Vincent Peale:
“Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful.”
There's still time to order!
