Looking for new ways to bring a little light into the world each day of Advent
Posted in , Dec 7, 2017
This year, I challenged myself to bring a little light into the world each day of Advent, whether it’s talking to a stranger in the elevator or doing something nice for my sisters. So far it’s been a lot of fun.
The only problem? I’m starting to run out of ideas. Especially since the majority of my ideas tend to involve giving people candy. (What can I say? Chocolate is never too far from my mind!)
That’s where you come in. I’d love to know your ideas for random acts of kindness. Something that lifted the spirits of a friend, family member or stranger. The more creative, the better!
"If we can get Guideposts inspirational stories into the hands of people who may not have a devotional life, they can share the true-life stories of how God works in the world. The joy of Guideposts is their free, donated magazines - they allow me to help all the people who I am called on to serve."
-Rob Carter, Nyack Hospital's Director of Pastoral Care
Share your thoughts in the comments below. I’ll compile the ideas into a future blog post.
That way we have a database of sorts to pull ideas for spreading a little love, whether it’s Christmastime or anytime.
