An invitation from Guideposts Editor Edward Grinnan to spiritually connect

Guideposts Editor Edward Grinnan and his dog, Gracie.

Dear Guideposts Friends,

Social distancing in Western Massachusetts with my wife, Julee, I was out on my daily walk in the woods with Gracie, our golden retriever, when I got a sudden urge: to send a message to you, my Guideposts friends. Why? Well, because I was lonely.

That realization was both a shock and a relief. A shock because I had been keeping myself busy with my work and staying abreast of the news coverage of the pandemic—maybe too much. A relief because I had finally recognized this nagging unease. I missed other people, especially you.

So I pulled out my phone and recorded a quick hello to you all, co-starring Gracie—and asked my friends in digital media to post it.

It feels good to connect. God made us to be social creatures. We need each other and I’d love to hear back from you. Here’s how:

Please tell us some good news or a story from your life or your neighborhood, something that gives you hope during these difficult times. Tell us something good. (Please remember to include your full name, where you live and a way to contact you.)

Send your stories to [email protected].

Or you can send us a photograph with a brief caption of something that lifted your spirit and gave you hope. Something you want to share with others. We’re listening and we’ll share it with others.

Remember, social distancing doesn’t mean spiritual distancing.

Stay well,

PS: Take a look a more messages of hope from Guideposts.
